I orginally preordered from Best Buy for $10, but I ordered the Special Edition off of EB. So I should have the Targe and the Ithas Bow.

Would of preordered a couple of times if the price didn't increase for the preorder... darn it.

I myself am upset that I still have yet to find and answer to my question about how gamestop is gonna give me or if gamestop is gonna give me my cd key in time for early access considering I preordered off the site on the 14th. Knew I shoulda thought something was fishy, since the site didn't mention the preorder.

Wow....I completely forgot about something...

I opened up GW, went to edit account and was expecting to see the Ithas Bow there, and yet I see the Kanthas Targe.

I forgot when I first seen the GW per-orders I was in Future Shop, and I purchased that copy for me. The two I purchased from EB were for a friend, I just put it under my name and ordered the CE off of it...

Ah well, either way both items are useless to my little necromancer

I did not get that screen when I installed GW and entered the key, it just gave the the message that nothing is scheduled at the moment.

Edit : Oh, where is the edit account option? Geez, I hope I didnt screw this up..heh

I think you only get that screen if you have characters on the account already. I also entered in my key and although it says my account is set up, when I go in I only see the character creation screen which errors when I select one.

dude I dunno what Im supposed to do with the damn ethas bow. I might never even use a ranger. Then again I prolly should if I want to get every single skill there is so it should come in handy early on when I get bored of magicks. But does anyone know the exact stats and junk for the Ithas Bow?

Nope. Hasn't been released yet, but it is supposed by many that it will somehow scale with your level to remain useful but not godly throughout the game, else we'd all be junking it too fast. I hope you can salvage it for some wood, make parchment and wear it as an Ithas tattoo, cause that's about all I'll be doing with mine.

I'd like to know this too. I installed and created an account with the CD key, but see no where to enter my preorder key.

I am hoping that the game knows who you are with your email address and by using the same account info, still reckognizes you and if you where a beta tester. Im alittle confused, but hey, guess we will find out tomorrow

I didn't beta test though. I preordered just last friday. What I'm hoping is they just open the game tonight at 12 for anyone who has an account already. People who didn't preorder wont be getting the game until the 28th anyway, so I don't see why they would need to limit who can log on tonight.

Tell me about it I preorderd from Best Buy and it's suppost to arrive sometime on friday. I just do not get how every other store is shipping out early and Best Buy seems to be taking a grand ol time in actually sending it out I check order status every so often still says blah blah blah 29th blah blah blah. I orderd next day delivery ude think they would get the hint from the other stores and send it out early like all the rest.

Never order games from Best Buy. Gamestop/EBgames caters to people like us as their main business, Best Buy doesn't really care either way.

I got my first pre-order box from CompUSA for ten cents back in January. They didn't pre-order the game and I didn't complain because I hadn't played yet and wasn't sure I'd want the game. After the January BWE, I knew I wanted the game so I pre-ordered the 'Deluxe' version from Best Buy online and picked up the free pre-order box at the store. After about 8 weeks I got an email from Best Buy that my item had been backordered too long and they were cancelling the order. So I went online and pre-ordered again from Best Buy and picked up another free pre-order box at the store. I thought I was getting a good deal on the 'Deluxe' version at Best Buy, but had a feeling it wouldn't work out in the long run. I wanted the Ithas Bow so I pre-ordered the regular version from a local EB Games and got my fourth pre-order box. And then Best Buy cancelled all 'Deluxe' version orders so I went to EB Games and changed my pre-order to the Collector's Edition. I've called and they said I should be able to pick up my pre-order this evening. I can't remember the last time I went through so much trouble for anything, especially a game. The only regret I have is that all the pre-orders are on different accounts (for friends and family) so I'll only get one special item. My ranger doesn't have much use for the other items anyway so I don't guess that really matters either.

Don't bother with the item:
a) it would require pre-ordering, which given that the release is Thursday might be hard to do
b) it won't be any better than items you can find

Make the character you want, don't worry about silly items. I'm getting an Ithas Bow, yet while I have a Mo/Ra planned I won't be using missile weapons, and I don't think I'll ever play a ranger with a bow - I just don't care to. Anet was purposely smart aboutall pre-order items, while they may help a bit they are purportedly designed so as not to be unbalancing, and on par with in game items. They may look neat or something, but I doubt there is any real advantage to having them or it would make for unfair PvP.

You can get all of them if you want to. ANET has recently said that you can have all 6 pre-order items.

you can buy the pre-order boxes from ebay for like $5 and stores that have left overs.

In one of the Fansite Fridays I think they said that all items will be usable by the character that gets them regardless of profession. Keyed to the primary attribute or something.

If that's the case, then it doesn't matter where you preordered, any profession can use it, though some items don't make a whole lot of sense to certain professions even if they can use them.
