Grawl Necklace - Rare drop?

I've killed around 30 Grawl now and not even one necklace...just wondering if this is a rare drop? Is it cheap to just buy it? I have less than 100 gold so..:P

I asume that you are still in what is called pre-searing.
And no, necklaces are only for collector's so if no item of the collector interests u, u can go ahead and sell them.

all it does is salvage down to fiber which you dont need

common salvage or trade to collector item

its not that rare of a drop they r really only still good if u trade em to a collector....but u can sell em for some small cash and it will all add up l8ter..

There is a collector in pre-searing that will give me a new jacket for three grawl necklaces...so that's why i'm trying to find some.

I saw some one buying fiber for 35gp per yeterday -
I do beleive this lack of neclaces is part of the new economy.
Wonder what the unnatural seed drops are like nowadays....

Actually i'd keep any grawl necklaces i find if i were you, once slavaged they give you plant fibers, which were selling for 865 for 10 from the trader yesterday... i dont know why though, any ideas about this one?

They shouldn`t be that rare. I started a new Ranger and got numerous necklaces in a short time.

Plant Fibers are used to Craft some rare materials like "Rolls of Vellum" for example.

you need 5 plant fibers, fiber glit dust, and 200 gold. wich is often much cheaper than buying them from ppl or trader.

I know fibers are used in at least 2 rare materials.

How did this get to Plant Fibers? Did no one but me read the original post? He`s asking IF Grawl Necklaces are hardly dropped because he wants 3 and after killing 30 Grawl, has none.

That little rant said, I just did a little experiment. Went right outside Ascalon in Pre-Searing. Killed the 4 Grawl that`s around the Bull pond and got 3 necklaces out of 4 Grawl.

Ghostpoet, if you don`t come up with the necklaces, look for me in game as Olfin The Ninth and I`ll give you these 3. I won`t be on till later, around 8pm CST.

i've had no problem collecting grawl necklaces. OP must have gotten really bad luck.

Is it a certain type of Grawl? Or does grouping with someone effect drops? I was teamed with my wife and we were running her mission...thought we would kill a few Grawl on the way to see if we could get those necklaces...I wouldn't think that would effect anything. Normally I just get gold from them.

I'll try again tonight and concentrate on killing just the basic Grawl.

I could be wrong, but I think I had a better chance getting necklaces out of the Grawl Shaman.

Grouping with henchmen will affect the drops you see as they take their share and you never actually see it. However sincey ou are still presear and can't have henchmen you've probably just had a run of bad luck on their drops as the necklaces are pretty common.
