I'm looking to create a Warrior that focuses on Axe Mastery. Monk and Ranger are two secondary professions that I will not consider. Out of the remaining three (Nec, Elementalist and Mesmer), I need to choose the most effective combination with an axe using Warrior.
If anyone can provide links or has any info, I'd appreciate it. Not looking to rehash an old discussion if it isn't necessary, so links will definitely be fine with me.
Axe Warrior Builds (No Monk/Ranger)

Is it for PvE or PvP ?
Anyway the combination i had most fun in PvE and PvP was certainly W/N - plague touch is priceless when you dont have that cool monk with mend ailment behind you, weaken armor is just so good as long as there is no heavy hex remover in the enemy team... and parasitic bond is a great cover hex that heal yourself if removed and is also spammable... there is also some good thing about the necro path like strip enchantment or rend enchantments which are good to have in PvP... then you can carry some high damage Axe skill to kill the target quick and easy... the only down side to this kind of build is the casting time... you need to cast all that shit before entering in battle... or in the middle of it.. so in the meantime you aint attacking.. which mean less dps... but oh well its so just fun to play
my usual build looks like this :
Plague touch
Cleave / Eviscerate {E}
Penetrating blow
Executioner's strike
Rend enchantments
Weaken armor
Parasitic bond
rez sig
you may also want to bring axe rake along with eviscerate or dismember to cripple the target.
As for point distribution i cant really get it off the top of my head right now but usually i always play around the 11/10/10 rule.

Thanks!
This character is going to be played through PvE, but will end up being very involved in PvP at the end.

I've got to agree with AcidRock on the /Necro. Some of the most fun I've had with my Warrior is because of his secondary skills. His build was something like this.
"Victory is Mine!" {E}
Enfleebling Blood
Cyclone Axe
Dismember
Healing Signet
Mark of Pain
Parasitic Bond
Bonetti's Defense
Now bear in mind, I've more or less made him a pretty heavy AoE guy, but its very easy to change based on different playstyles. Axe has alot of really nice condition effects, which can add to the Health and Energy you gain from "Victory is Mine!". Mark of Pain is my lifeblood, sometime's I'll swap in Flurry for Dismember, and just go nuts. With Flurry, my damage goes down on the guy I'm attacking, but I'm able to pump out alot of damage to the surronding guys, killing off his friends before I finish the guy I originally targetted. This could be easily adapted to other weapon styles, but I like the added damage of cyclone axe, which also triggers Mark of Pain.
Hope that helps
