Im confused, when i launched my beta thing, it asked me which one i wanted, RP or PvP only?

in PvP it says i start with max level..and in RP it says i dont...whats the deal? if i pick PvP only and if i can ONLY do PvP, how am i supposed to get items and such? im so confused, and if i pick RP does that mean i start from lvl 1, even if i can PvP, the "PvP option chosen ones" Get to start off at max level? whats up with this..

RP: start level 1, do quests, earn items and gold etc. These characters also unlock skills for your PvP characters to use, and can do PvP in arenas. You can easily reach level 20 in 2 or 3 days solid play so dont worry about that.

PVP: no way to gain exp (as far as i know anyway), they are for pvp only but can use skills your rp chars have unlocked and (unsure of this) may be able to share weapons in your stash too.

wow so which has the advantage here? PvP chars come at lvl 20 and come with items and armor...and PvE chars CAN pvp but wouldnt the "alredy PvP" players get the advantage here?

i guess it is boring to just pvp though...

i choose PvE

We will continue to offer pre-made options to start a PvP character. But the design team has come up with an interesting concept to expand on PvP Character creation options. You can now custom create Level 20 PvP-only characters. But instead of being a standard build with a predetermined skill set, you "grow" your PvP character based on your other accomplishments. When you acquire a skill with your roleplaying characters, your PvP-only character will gain access to that skill. When you find an item in a PvM mission or quest, you can unlock the item's ability by using an Identification Kit on that item. When you do that, the item will become available to your PvP Character. Once you've unlocked a skill or magic item, it remains unlocked even if the roleplaying character used to unlock it is deleted.

The advantage of PvP-only characters is an advantage for the player, not the character. The advantage the player gets is the ability to quick try many different builds, or whip up a character tailor made for a specific purpose. If you can think it up, you can make it in the blink of an eye. Assuming you've already unlocked all the necessary pieces with your RP character(s).

But as for the characters themselves, there's no real advantage to a PvP-only character vs. an RP character. They're equals in combat. However, the RP character can go wander off and do other things, whereas the PvP-only character is, well, PvP-only. Great for making that perfect team, with each character tailor made for the team, before going into GvG combat. Bad for exploring where Lornar Pass goes, or saving Kryta from the clutches of... whatever evil now threatens it.

Will the templates for PvP automatically have the advanced skills and items unlocked? And if you want to make a custom PvP character you can only used unlocked items? Is this correct? Or are you unable to use a template build until you unlock all the skills it uses?

Can you acquire skills for primary attributes of other classes in RP?
For example, If I'm a warrior RP, can I unlock a Monk Divine Favor Skill for PvP custom characters?
