One of the new features in 'edit account' is that you can now move your account to a different World if need be. However you are also limited to only 5 changes before it becomes permanent (sort of like DVD regions in a way).

Why is this? Is it to stop WaW abuse, or an attempt to control the amount of work produced when moving accounts? Either way, I would have thought a 'rationed' method will be better, such as to be only allowed to change territories once every 4 weeks, etc.

would it matter? you can still meet everyone in International districts AND you still fight everyone in tombs. I doubt it has much bearing other than maybe what pve server you play on.

It's to stop WaW abuse. They couldn't lock you out of your 'bonus' content if you could just switch worlds and access it.

I am in a transitional period.

The only reason to change reagions is if you move from one part of the world to another. Nothing changes besides where your default servers are located.

This is a non-issue.

It is an issue!!

They posted the following message at the support page YESTERDAY:
You can only change the Guild Wars world five (5) times over the entire lifetime of the Guild Wars account

LIFETIME??? Does this include the BWE? Im stuck on the american territory and I wanna go back to "my" european territory

This information wasn't released last BWE as they introduced this "feature" and I changed servers several times because in the early morning the european server was nearly empty (high level areas). And now?

Well that's kind of the problem I feared, what if someone constantly changes territories for whatever reason and becomes permanently stuck to one they no longer enjoy? I'm not saying that this will be a wide spread problem, but anyone who does do this is effectively screwed, and would have to re-purchase the game if they decided that their current server isn't the place for them.
