- How many hours do you personally think it should take to unlock all skills, runes, and weapon upgrades?
- For your PvE characters that have done all skill quests and missions and have unlocked most or all skills, what's the /age of that character, and how many skill points have you earned on that character? This would give me a good idea of the rate of acquisition of skill points per hour on which I can base my analysis.
- How many total skill points have you earned across all PvE characters, and what is your /age for all characters?
How many hours?

Okay guys, I need some help from you guys. I'm looking to be making a thorough statistical analysis on Skill Points, Faction, and unlocking, and I am going to need some questions answered for my reference. It'll only be a couple questions, no biggie.

2.I unlocked all skills for for 1 class for 60 hours lower than moderate play that was not only involving skill unlocking. I got all skills and have 10 skill points remaining 5 of which are made from farming (for 60k armor).
3. 80% Necro skills and 40% elementalist skills - aproximately 75 sp used + 20 free. (taking in mind most of the skills are quest awards).
1. I think it is fine, althou the PvE way of unlocking items may give trouble.

Wasn't there something just like this at tgh?
1. 100-150 tops
2. 55 for all skills of one proffession, all quests and finished game. I didn't stop to smell the roses.
3. ~450 hours, assuming /age is right. ~400 skill points

Well, there was a post like this in Guild-Hall, but there was also one here just like that one.

i can predict (my opinion) what the final figure on faction will be.
Anet is carefully keeping tabs on how fast the PVE people are unlocking things and also the rate faction is being EARNED NOT JUST SPENT
the final faction adjustment will bring the PVP faction earning rate to as close to the same amount of time as the PVE crowd as they can get
remember they said it was an ALTERNATE method not a FASTER method for the pvp people to earn what they want

I would agree with one exception. I think with all the mention of tracking statistics they are determining the rate of skills being unlocked in PvE vs. PvP (faction earned vs. cost of unlocking skills). However, I think they have also determined what they feel to be a "target range" for the rate of unlocking. So, while yes, I see them adjusting PvP to fall inline with PvE, I think they'll look at adjusting both.

there was mention of the new areas having more and better drops/exp and i would not be surprised at a general tweaking as well.
i dont expect it to really start settling down til well past the next chapter.
i do expect many *adjustments* between now and then though
i will love some hate others but at least they will be doing something for some of us each time

With more than 500 hours of play (Mostly from a lack of trying) I have about 5 warrior and 3 monk skills left to get. The other classes I'm just unlocking most by subbing to them and then capping.. I don't really feel like making my 4th pve character.

I think it depends on what you're doing while you're playing. I have just over 310 hours in the game. I go through periods where I'm skill capping, but I also go through periods where I'm simply farming for cash/items, helping other people with missions/bonuses/quests, PvPing (poorly, I might add), etc. Truthfully, I had most of the skills I normally use by about 150 hours. There are still a couple I really want to cap (still haven't gotten 100 blades yet), but I'm simply not of the mindset to get them right now.

I have played 507 hours total. I would say 20, give or take, of those hours were dedicated purely to PvP.
I have the following left to unlock:
Elementalist: 6{E}
Mesmer: 7{E} 2 Regular
Monk: 4{E} 3 Regular
Necromancer: 9{E} 17 Regular
Ranger: 10{E} 14 Regular
Warrior: 9{E} 4 Regular
I have 3 PvE characters: E/Mo (main), R/N and W/Me are the two I spend the least on except when I really need to unlock something for PvP. Although that seems like a lot, I try to have fun and play thru a game completely. Only near the end of this did I start making an effort to do a complete unlock. I still have many weapon upgrades to unlock, unfortunately.
