just a ranger build i've been thinkin of.

expertise - 16 sup rune + mask
wilderness - 10 min or maj rune
marksmen - 8 - could have min rune, so you have 14 points left over when/if you use some secondary skills.

Skills-
Oathshot - if it hits, regens all other skills.
Whirling Defense - dodge 75% of all attacks, when shot at by bows, adjacent foes take dmg.
Throw Dirt - blinds em.
Troll unguent - self healing.
Dust Trap - dmg + blinding
Barbed Trap - dmg + bleeding
Pin Down or Spare slot.

Armour - Druids.

Idea.
Run into combat, use whirling, then oath, whirling lasts for 20secs and oaths cooldown time is like 20secs, so basically you have like a 2sec laps in whirling defense. use throw dirt to blind any warriors who are smacking you, then lay down barbed then dust and just keep going as long as your mana holds out. any pesky warriors running away, pin them down, blind then then trap or bow away to hearts content, because of oath shot you can lay those traps a fair bit.

any other helpful ideas to better build would be greatly apperreatated, just did a quick test in the comp arena, i finally died when i had poison arrow on me, life transfer and some meteors coming down, was last alive to.

so yeh, just whatever.

I'd use lightning reflexes or some other evasion skill as spare slot, just in case. Oath shot CAN miss, you know.

Not a bad build, but I think that it doesn't pack enough punch to lay down the hurt. Energy could become a problem (but with high expertise, you never know), mainly after laying down 25 energy minus whatever it is after exp, for dust trap. Could be very annoying in PvP if the other team relies on melee damage.
For the last spot I would reccomend Dryders Defenses. Shorter evade duration, but it also provides elemental resistance, and another evade skill if Oath misses and Whirling is about to fail.

i did some more testing, i found that if your smart, you can keep whirling up for as long as possible, just don't try and shoot at ppl moving, shoot at ppl in combat ect. the only time oath missed was when i shot at a warrior who was moving in all kinds of directions chasing a team mate.

i had lightning in there for a while, but found i didn't use it. throw dirt and dust trap easily compansated, and mana only becomes a problem when you lay dusttrap down asap.

Oath shot's got a 20 second recharge, and Whirling Defence lasts around 20 seconds at higher levels.
