I would like an option to be able to turn weather effects off (especially snow) in the Graphics options, because in the Iron Horse mine, the snow is very dense and whatever I do to tweak my graphics, I cannot stop the snow from serverly ruining my FPS in the game, I was using a XFX 6600GT with latest NVidia drivers before and now I am using a Sapphire 9800XT with latest Catalysts and the snow still has a severe FPS hit which leads me to believe that it is being caused by the processor not being powerful enough (AMD64 3700+ 2.4GHz) which is very undstandable due to the processor having to track and move all the millions of snowflakes being created by the games engine. I believe this is the case because I can get perfect/smooth constant 60FPS (Vsync'd) everywhere else in the game on highest quality with full AA and full anistrophic filtering. The only place I get the major FPS hit is Iron Horse Mine, no where else at all.
Thank you.
P.S. I know some of you will want to try and help which I thank you for, but believe me, I have tried everything, so do not make any suggestions please.

I have an AMD64 3200+ with a leadtek 6600GT and I have no problem at all with the snow
If you don't want help, then fine
but why ask for a modification of the whole game when the problem is obviously on your side ?

I'm wondering who the intended recipient was supposed to be?
"PSA! PSA! Developers! I can't run GW at 1600x1200 8xaf on my moderate system and rather than adjust my settings accordingly please re-code the game to meet my irrational demands!!"
Thats all I got at 8:30 am...

I have the same probs with falling snow (although not all that bad, but certainly noticeable). Another game I used to play frequently, Enemy Territory, had a command you could type in to turn snow off in that game. I'd love it if ANet put in a similar option for GW.
I also wish there was a way to make the damn cursor NOT disappear when you hold down a button. I always lose track of it that way, and I'd rather have the damn thing onscreen 100% of the time than have it appear on and off like it does now.

I have an XFX non-GT 6600, and I have no problems with the weather/snow.
If you have only a slight problem at that one point in the game, I don't think the devs will warrant the change. AA isn't a necessity either.
If you think something is wrong, it probably on your end, you might want to post something in the tech forum for some suggestions.
