Finally a nice run into the UW

I have been rather critical of the drops in UW recently, but this morning I had sevral firsts.

I was doing the usual circuit running around aggroing blades and had my usual fight, when I saw in green text "vlades aatxes drops a saphire designated yadayadayada" Well I have to tel you that made my run right there. The first saphire I had drop for me and maybeonly the second or third I had seen drop ever. And it was off a blade. No exaggeration I have killed 2-3 thousand of them. SO I go on kill the graspers, got an ecto from them. Doors open go into the dryder chamber and kill those monsters, another ecto. Go out into town and kill those 15 graspers purple bow(hi requuirement but a colored item). So I am thinking well smites will not have a lot.

About this time we lose favor to Europse So I say might as well make a mornig of it. So I kill the lead bunch... nothing. I draw the 2 colds that patrol and kill them, got a nice eternal shield off them, blue but +15 while enchanted, so sellable. Kill the rest of the smite, and got a purple healing anch. Not worth keepipngbut at least it was purple. Try a few more colds get nothing then walk out.

Go to the gate and take that group of monsters on. And holy moly I got a frigging ruby. I almost fell out of my chair. I had never gotten a saphire or a ruby,and thenin the same run I got both. Not tomention that thwy are selling for mre than ecto these days. But I am also hoarding them, so doubly exciting, since I am looking to use them not sell thme.

So that run right there...2 ectos, 2 purple items, a ruby, a saphire, and a couple eternal items worth selling was ALMOST enough to make me forget the runs where I get 40 demonic remains and ZERO ectos for basically killing the same monsters.

Maybe it is a weekday thing, maybe it is because I didn't go into UW yyesterday at all. Not sure. There seems to be no rhyme or reason to it. Some guys claim to be cleaning up, most are like me...getting nothing and more nothing with each run.

Obviuosly not every run can be like this one, but maybe 1 in 20 could be. This was about 1 in 100 or more. But I have almost 1000 hours combined in 4 toons and those are the first jewel I have had drop for me. I also have over 100 runs against the spiders in FOW with my ele which most guys say are the prime droppers of rubies. And even though was with groups never saw a ruby drop for anyone with me either.

Good morning nontheless. THAT is what excites me seeing things drop that I NEED not that I necessarily want to sell. Now if I get a gold eternal bow max 15%>50 with an 8 req I would probably quit soloing the UW altogether, that is really what I am looking for. Obviously a very rare item, but I want to FIND it, not buy. So when that baby drops I will be a really happy man.
