There are many known flaws. There are many known solutions. ANet is made up of a bunch of smart people. Why do we continue to suffer these known flaws in the game? Is it pride/ego getting in the way?
Those monthly fee games have a dedicated support and content staff but I would argue that ANet has the same, albeit to a lesser degree. I think that the main difference is that the pay-to-play staff recognizes that the game wasn't perfect out of the box......games this big never are. Pride in perfection has been put aside and there is a dedication to getting it right regardless of however hard the solution might be.
If the flaws in Guild Wars were types of issues that required massive amounts of work, I would be more understanding.....and some of them are. There is an obvious need for some centralized means of trading and I have no doubt that will cost some over-time. On the other hand, there are some balance changes that would entail changing a couple of numbers that still remain in the "To Do" pile. There are some easy roll-back changes that could also take place. No one is in favor of all the changes to the drop rate.......roll that "update" back to retail days and everyone's happy again. Someone explain to me why this would be a massive undertaking?
With all this in mind, I can't come up with a reasonable explanation as to why the little things haven't been changed? Can you?
Is it pride?

And I seriously doubt it's pride that is the problem here

I'm fairly confident that they aren't still sitting in their chairs with champaign in hand celebrating success.

the game play ideas you want dont fit their plans and therefore are not done

They're also coding things like Chapter 2, the auction house, etc. Be patient. For a game only a couple months into release, they've done a lot and there's more to follow.
This thread deserves an early demise before it gets ugly, as is it's potential.

Suggest changes all you want. Post your concerns (in a constructive manner) until the earth falls off its orbit, but trying to psychoanalyze the dev team does absolutely nothing. All you can do by trying to second guess the emotions of the devs is to speculate, grab at wild guesses, and to waste time.
