Rend Enchantmenst quick question.

Does Necro Curse skill "Rend Enchantments" deal 40 dmg to the user for every monk enchant removed? Or does it deal that dmg to the target?

The thing is that if it deals 40 dmg to you, and you use it on a smiting e/mo or something with tons of monk enchants, won't you be heavily damaged?

Yes, the caster takes the damage. If you use rend enchantments on a monk running 4 enchantments, you will remove all 4, and take 40 x 4 dmg, or 160 dmg from it. That's the downside of Rend. Otherwise, everyone would be using rend instead of lingering curse if they wanted to remove enchantments.
