I'll be having characters of both kinds, but I'll start off with a roleplaying character.

I plan on having only PvE characters, but I'll doubtless use them in PvP. I just don't want a PvP character... feels like you're cheating.

It doesn't really make any sense to say you're choosing one or the other. You'll want to have both. You need RP characters to unlock skills, but it's nice to have a PvP character that you can delete and remake depending on what PvP build you want to play that day.

PvP can only .. PvP. At the start of the game, you'll have access to premades, and that's about it. Roleplaying characters unlock skills and items that can be used for PvP characters, and they also have access to the entire world - so an RP character is probably what you want.

Initially, PvE.

However, I'll get into PvP after I tire of farming.

All 4 of my chars will be RP. Getting to 20 will only take me a couple days, and then I can PvE or PvP with them.

You'll need RP chars first anyway, otherwise your PvP ones will have no good skills or items.

My first will definately be an RP character. I'll probably make a character or two just for PVP - will just depend on how into it I get.

For the beginning everybody will play a RP-Character since nobody wants to do PvP without any skills and only the default PvP-Equipments....maybe 0,0001% of all the games will start with a PvP-Only character...

Up to 24 hours a day. Minimum of 10 hours on days I have class (which is only once a week at the moment). I can, and have, played games for 72+ hours straight. Not counting short breaks for food/bio/etc.

I have two characters, with a PvP and PvE character made for each. Not having to farm for PvP worthy items is a big enough draw for 'wasting' half my character slots.

A Role Playing char is basically what you're used to in any MMORPG. Start out at level 1, no skills, etc, etc.
