This is a question about the forum. How do you become appointed a moderator, and by moderator, I mean someone who has the abiliy to move and close threads?

Seriously, they are picked out by the admin of the site. Usually by aquaintance from another site or by showing leadership and understanding about the topic at hand around the forum.

We take the names of random people, and attach them to a dartboard. Then, we take turns throwing until we come out with someone. We've been considering revising this method of selection, after several staff members were seriously wounded and refused to accept the explanation that "My hand slipped."
