Thanks to the elementalist ability to lessen energy cost every so often, this build doesn't have to rely too much on anything outside soul reaping.
However, when entering pvp, where bodies are scarce, it probably is best to make the most out of your corpse by turning them into walking grenadiers. The Deep Freeze Exhaustion is cancelled out by the Glyph thank goodness and what's more, their recycle times coincide beautifully. *gets eaten by Nature's Renewal* DOH!!!
At least Deathly Swarm [which is pathetic by itself] can be spammed and should your foes bunch up, [which does happen at times] then you'll get to do some amount of dmg... Deep Freeze + Glyph of Energy is pretty much your nuclear Warhead for the build. If done properly, your enemy will ONLY have about 8s. or less to be moving at full speed [without hex removal]. For the rest of the time, they're moving VERY slowly.
The water armors are quite useful in my opinion, though not as hardy as earth armor, they give you more options.
