Does anyone have a necro / warrior melee build that is effective in PVP? Is the lack of necro armor just too weak to melee, and in that case, is there a necro support build that would be effective?
Thanks.

My guess (from looking into a PvP necro warrior myself) is that you're (unfortunatly) better off going warrior primary.

Couple reasons:
- class only attributes. Soul Reaping is basically useless in PvP whereas strength will be used all the time.
- armor. Warrior armor is able to take far more hits.
- Targeting order. Warriors are typically the last to be targetted and if they are, its with conditions (which necros just love).

My take on a N/W was to cause a ton of in close havoc with my curses and blood magic combined with the weapon of choice. That means you really want to be able to take a pounding and be able to use damaging skills. Adrenal skills ignore the warrior's low nrg recovery leaving you room to use that mana for your necro skills. With adequate planning, you can make sure to always have the energy you need for necro skills while using adrenaline centered skills for the warrior side.

If you're looking to be a more stand off caster... then why pick up warrior skills? Better off with another secondary class.

Of course, the necro just looks plain better then the warrior in both model and armor choices.... so what are you going to do?

actually i found that necro warrior is way better than warrior primary i can take a caster and any melee class on me at once anyways heres my build

blood 12 +1+3
swordsmanship 12
soulreaping i think 4+1

vamp gaze
well of blood or blood ritual
transfer{E} or Blood is power{E}
shadow strike
dark pact
galrath slash
final thrust
life siphon

Thanks for the info mental, I'll try that build out tonight. The reason I asked about N/W is that I already have one that I play PVE w/. I haven't had any trouble in Pve but wanted to use him effectively in PvP also.

i love watching n/w's. run right in and you think, "hes a deadman" yet they stand a fight. draining life, cursing, and just make life a living hell(like bobrath said)

and you could hazard getting hte 70 armor, but you'd have to disable or run away from a smiter quickly

For the times when the enemie is running away after underestimating yet ANOTHER N/W, oops, no running for you! Vamp Gaze! Dead.

ah. Guess I was looking at the slightly fast cast time on Touch combined with the larger damage/steal. (yes and tradin off 5 more energy).

Early parts of the game I fell in love with Sever Artery - Gash - Vampiric Touch for the rapid kill. Touch could be linked in very well with Gash whereas Gaze left a distinct pause that allowed healing to sneak in.

N/W is an arena build. It sucks in organized pvp for very obvious reasons.

Care to share those obvious reasons?
