Character Creation Gone Or Playing

When you create a character there should be a icon on your friend's list or guild list that should say your still playing, but creating a character. There have been so many times when my friends or guidies are creating their characters , but we dont even know so we leave, or somtimes we are THINKING they are creating their characters and their really gone!!! A net should fix this, it doesnt seem to hard to do. Just while your creating a character say on the friends list for other people or guidies that your still there but creating a character so people know what your actually doing. people please comment.

Are you trying to say:

While we are playing a game and view the friends / guild list, it shows that a person is online but they are actually in the character creation screen so we are mislead.

Is that what you mean?

Sounds like he is saying, when he looks at his guild/friends list it shows his guildmates & friends offline when they are creating new characters, so he leaves, thinking his amigos are offline.

And if thats what hes saying, how in the world is it the games fault if your friend didn't let you know they are making a new character?

To expand on this, I think next to someone's name should be where they are. Thunderhead Keep, Old Ascalon, Fissure of Woe, etc, etc, etc. And maybe even a list of who is in their party, similar to how the rollover works when inviting a group of people into a party.

Thats been suggested before. Infact, its somewhere in the thread index already.

Why not add a status in the friends list like there is for online, offline, away, busy i.e. Character Creation?

how would u set it, then logout to make ur character

i think this could be fixed once they get rid of the "logout in order to switch character" problem. if we are considered online from the moment we enetered our password and that would signify to all our friends that we are still there but just switching characters or creating a new one.

just add an option under the future "change character" feature that enables you to jump straight to the character creation screen.

Yes this is what ive been trying to say!!!! I guess whenever i write anything people are confused. look at like all my post at least someone says i dont really understand what ur saying blah blah blah.
