perhaps early entry!

i just logged onto my account, and i got as far as choosing my characters and even deleated one of them, and when i went to make another, i got this message!

Yes looks like thier servers are down..and I too have the game now (retail) but that doesnt go live till the 28th which is wierd because the game officially goes on sale tommorow..though EB games is selling it now.

I did preorder so maybe tonight they will start the preevent.

They will start the "Early" launch at the 27th 12.01 am PDT.
That is.. one minute past midnight at PACIFIC DAYLIGHT TIME.
Would be 3 am in EST
Would be 8 am GMT
Would be 9 am for most of europe...

The game is apparently being sold before it is supposed to by the stores.
Makes it a little confusing for some costumers that havent been following the game, but it sure beats having the game be LATE hehe

It's being sold early so people can start playing as soon as it is released, instead of waiting around for a few extra days. This isn't like HL2 where there was a huge screwup with the release date (some stores started selling it a couple days early and were forced to remove them from the shelves about half an hour later.)

I think you got this because the game isn't live yet. However if you bought multiple copies of the pre-order (ie one from best buy and another from EB Games) you can get all of the special items that you are entitled to... (there was a post about this earlier) this way if you wnted an item from another company's pre-buy for one character and one for another you could, thoredically, do that.
Since the game is not up and running right now, its more avalable for account maintenance than anything... which is a good idea if your on dial-up (luckily I'm on cable) therefor you can download all of the updated now so you can come out swining first thing in the morning (if you plan to do so)
