Question About Playing a Day early

I purchased the game today from EB, am I going to be able to play the day early, or do i have to wait 2 days?

If it is the pre-order (it will say on the box), then you can play. If it is the full release, you can play on the 28th.

If you purchased the retail version today? You will have to wait until the 28th.

If you have a pre-order copy/account? You can start playing at midnight tonite (PST-Pacific Standard Time)

I assume all xp, gold etc obtained on the 27th will still be there when we go retail on the 28th?

I just stopepd by Game Stop and upgraded to the colelctors edition!

My cousin had preordered from eB and played last beta. Now when he went to pick up the retail game it came with a pre-order kit inside with a "pre-order" key you can use for tonight. I could be wrong but isn't that kind of redundant?

Yes it is, but I wish they had put it with all of them so people that did NOT pre order could play tonight too if they have retail.

Actually, we're in PDT now (Pacific Daylight Time). The game will be "turned on" at midnight PDT/3am EDT. Some parts of the country do not recognize daylight savings time, so the usage of PST and PDT can be significant.

The game is "retail" tonight for those who preordered. Anything you do during the 24 hours exclusivity for preorders will carry over to the non preorder retail. If you input your retail code into your preorder account before 3am EDT on Friday, the "transfer" from preorder exclusivity to open retail will be transparent. For all intents and purposes, the game goes "retail" in a little over 6 hours from now for those who preordered.
