R/Mo or E/Mo?

Fire Mage vs Ranger
Which one do you guys think is the,

Best for pvp?
Best for pve?
Strongest?
Best overall? 1. ranger

3. strongest can mean a lot of things
4. depends what your trying to do

A good idea for the mage is to play through pve with fire and respec to something else for pvp. Also, monk isn't the hottest secondary for either of those classes unless you're soloing or smiting (e/mo).
