Patently Insane Smiting Rod for Trade

I'm taking offers on this Smiting Rod:



Let me be abundantly clear - this item is insane. Collector and PvP wands only come with a single modifier. Most rare wands that do drop come with a collection of modifiers that doesn't make any sense, like Necromancer wands with faster cast while using Air spells and faster recharge while using Inspiration spells. Just getting a wand with a useful modifier for your character is hard enough, let alone two.

This wand has two modifiers that are useful for any caster, regardless of skill set, and it's almost perfect to boot. You don't even have to meet the requirement of this wand to make use of its bonuses.

I'm interested in seeing what other high quality items are available as an offer. I'd like to get my hands on a low req -2/-2 shield, amongst other things. If you're going to insist on trying to buy this out with cash, I'll trade this for a suit of Fissure Tattoos on my Monk. Not that I expect it. Please don't insult me with lowball offers - I'm neither poor nor foolish, and I'm merely exploring my options with this unique item.

Hrm I got a -2 enchant/ -2 stance tall shield requires 9 strength but hrm not sure i want to dish out buckets of cash even if it is a nice item. for now I think I'll just watch what other people offer to see if I want to join in. ;-)

err a suit of fissure armor is worth much more than 7k...try the equivalent of that as a starting bid

I did see a 10/10 one the other day, and the seller want a 15%>50 chaos axe.

Someone please explain to me how you can give someone a suit of Fissure Armor, or any other armor on that matter, and them be able to wear it. It is customized for the player who purchases it.

trade him the materials and gold for him to buy himself....not for you to literally trade your armor to him

I would take a +energy mod while enchanted rod over that anyday, only thing I need casting for is energy draining skills for secondary mesmer. Oh well, I'll do a lowball 20k bid, even though you want 700k for something that isn't worth that. Sorry, to tell you, but for how good these forums are you should know (above all) you still will get lowballs... and you won't get what you want. My 11-22 Req 8 holy rod, +5 Energy While Enchanted, 9% Faster Recharge received a high bid of about 40k. Wasn't sold, of course :\

Yeah, I know I'm going to get lowballed here, but it can't hurt to post it. Not like I *have* to sell or anything.

I didn't really expect to get a set of fissure armor for it, but someone was bound to ask for a buyout. Realistically I expect somewhere in the 250-500 plat range for the wand. No hurry though, I'll just leave it in inventory and poke around district 1 when I'm in town.

i know this wand is great but it doesn t have a + energy >50 health which i find very important

I have a similar one to this one, 10 recharge/7 fast cast on an Illusion cane. Not max damage, though. Very nice to have. Now that I know its worth a ton, I might have to try to sell it. :-)
