Currently, I have played Guild Wars over more then 250 hours.
I typed /deaths and it says: 'You have died 570 times'.
that is like... 2 death's in a hour?
I mean, am I just so goddamn noobish?
I still have the Yak's Bend Gladiator armor because I don't want to spend my money on other and weaker armor and I'm saving my money for the 15K armors...
I do die alot, and I'm a W/E, so the only healing thing I have is my Healing Signet...

The 570 deaths look pretty noobish so I want to start all over again...
Is it?
And how many times have you died?

don't worry about deaths, i have over 800 of them in like 300 hours.. that is the life of a "meat sheild"... no one will ever see your deaths and dying is part of the game, so don't feel bad about it

Edit: heh, ok so i overshot my deaths a little bit, i only have 360 in 300 hours

as far as i know the droknar's forge 1.5k armor has the same stat as the 15k. you may want to invest on that one and use it to your advantage for tougher but better farming spots.

i'm at work so can't check my /deaths... i dont think deaths relates to your noobishness directly. has to take the teamates into account.

Haven't looked so I don't know. But since death in GW is mostly meaningless I don't think it means much. Especially since you can use how death works to advance in the game. Just another pointless thing to worry about like dancing, colors, how armor looks ect.

If you don't want to die so much, don't save for 15K armor. It's no different from 1.5K armor. Better armor will reduce your death rate.

That said, the warrior is more prone to dying than range characters, so expect more deaths as a warrior.

Nothing wrong with dying. Talking about newbish, I have died 402 times I've played 184 hours. Everytime time I check my deaths I just laugh.

And yes, good armor is your saving grace.

My Mo/Me only had 32 deaths after Hells Prec. Then I started PvPing with her and I probably have a ton now. I'll check when I get off work tonight.

I've been playing for 250 hrs with my Warrior, and have only 14 deaths.

Ok, that's a lie.

I average one death every two hours, but that's because of tough battles droipping my average. eg. the undead invasion outside some Kryta town (forget which) killed me maybe a dozen times.

Recently my Necro/Ranger never dies. Apart from a lot of deaths in Presearing Ascalon in one mission, and another run of dying in Old Ascalon, my army is pretty much unstoppable most of the time - at least, up into the Shivverpeak Mountains...

Does /deaths show all deaths (PvP + PvE) or just PvE deaths? PvP will result in a much higher death/hour average.

I think it was 400 hours, and 56 deaths. Last time I looked, anyway. I have to log in later on and see if it's still worth selling my supply of silver dye so I'll check then.

Expect to die more as a Warrior? Are you kidding me? Of my three characters, my warrior has died the least. My Elementalist on the other hand... Wooooo.

Warrior/Necromancer: 143 hours 27 minutes 37 deaths

Elementalist/Ranger: 345 hours 58 minutes 948 deaths

Ranger/Mesmer: 75 hours 20 minutes 151 deaths

Hey, I didn't know you could play as different races in this game! How'd you get an Elementalist Lemming?

I can't check right now, but you shouldn't be embarrassed because my E/Mo has died about 850 times in 180 hours. That's 4.7 deaths an hour.

I personally blame my armour, but whatever .
