Quintus
"The Last Hog" quest from Farmer Dirk in North Kryta Province or bought from Sorim in Quarrel Falls.

The semantics of the description confuse me a little...
1. does Otyugh's Cry apply armor bonus to enemy pets?
2. do enemy pets follow your command, and not their masters?
3. define "allies". All party members? or just Lord/Thief/Priest/Pet?
4. do they all change targets when you do? for example if they kill the target before 30 seconds is up.

i believe it only works on the wild animals, not peoples actual pets, i wish it worked on pets, then it would actually be worth something

Yeah, they should change this. Make the effect:
"All pets in the area gain +20 armor and attack target enemy until it dies Any pet's levels effected by Oyutugs Cry become (5-17) until this skill ends. When the target dies, Oyutus Cry ends."
Then it would be A LOT better. In fact, it should be an elite if it had this effect. Then there would finally be more than one elite for beast mastery. <_<

Otyugh's Cry, definitly my favorite skill. Obviously, just like it's everyone else's favorite skill.

Actually, through some testing, O's cry does indeed add armor to your own pet as well.
Check it out in the pet guide of the community work.

too bad it doesnt work on tamed pets lol against iway

This is really only good for large groups of animals roaming the area around you. In Old Ascalon, there is a certain spot that had like 8 moa birds just walking around.
Thats the only place i would consider using it.

Considering you get the skill in the jungle, that area in Ascalon could be done solo by the time you get it, thus you shouldn't even consider using it there...

back in the beta this was SOOO cool... In the jungle region you could give out a few Otyugh's Crys in the party and have a bunch of level 15 warthogs attacking the mobs.. lol but in reality that was the only place I ever used it effectively... After the launch I tried it again same place with the level 5 animals, and it was just not as effective... Its still interesting though...

Since Otyugh's Cry boosts tamed pet armor now as well as the (useless) wild effect, it could be used to good effect in a pet-heavy team. Aside from IWAY, which doesn't count. But a team which uses its pets as actual combatants could probably benefit greatly from an Otyugh's Crier. One single Cry and every allied pet in the Guild (in range) gets that +20 armor. Great skill for pet mobbing people.
Of course, since nobody uses pets in PvP aside from IWAY anymore, it's still a useless skill, but this time through neglect, not garbage factor :-P

Does it increase the armour of ALL pets (including those on the other team) or just that of allies?
