Definition: Wild Wednesday - A 24 hour period in which all of the skills, runes, weapons, and upgrades are unlocked for all PvP only characters. Wild Wednesday would also need its own separate GvG ladder but could operate all of the other PvP areas as normal.

Guild Wars should try this on one Wednesday and see what the response from the public is - I believe that it will be overwhelmingly popular and would even be a vehicle to draw more players into the game. Here are some of the advantages that I see for Wild Wednesdays.

1) People could practice with different skills (including elites) and figure out which ones they really want to play with in PvE and/or unlock in PvP for future use.

2) People would also get practice with different items, upgrades and runes and see which ones they want to try to trade for in PvE as well as which are the priority to unlock in PvP. This is especially true with the new PvP unlocking system so they could try something on a Wild Wednesday and then work on getting enough faction to buy the item that they know fits perfectly into their build.

3) Teams/Guilds could practice with more complex builds then they currently have access to. This would encourage people by letting them see what they can be capable of once they achieve the build they are working towards.

4) Arena Net would be able to test new skills, items and maps on a mass scale in an easy way without having to worry about putting them in the game and taking them back out.

5) Wild Wednesday’s would be fun and there is nothing wrong with adding more fun!

6) It would be a good carrot for new players. If you have played for a while and have just convinced your friend to buy the game it is a way for them to play with you on their new account and have the same access to things that you do.

7) Things were unlocked like this during some parts of the Beta so it is something within the capabilities of Arena Net. This is something that they could give the players without having to do new programming.

8) By having all the skills unlocked it would let people try out some of the other professions they may have not played with, allowing them to see if there is something that they enjoy even more than their current PvP and PvE builds.

This is something that would benefit all and is lacking in any major drawbacks. Arena has shown over time that they want your feedback, if you agree with the idea then let them know.

Nice idea. With this suggestion, at least on Wednesdays, there won't be as long as a wait to GvG.

Wow, only two posts made on this topic. Guess since this isn't a moronic idea like 99% of the threads posted most of the people aren't going to post in this thread to support it.

Definitely a good idea. It would give Guilds a chance to test new builds without having an effect on ladder rankings.

Although this sounds like a good idea to me, it'd probably just encourage the people who want UAS and UAR buttons, which is bad.

This sounds good to me!

As mentioned above it would double the threads about UAS.

lol this is just an idea newbs want so they don't have to go through and unlock all the skills to test them like veterans have.

On the flip side of that, people that have already unlocked alot of skills in PvE/Faction can check out the elites without hunting them down from bosses.
I have noticed that most of the elites IMO, that are worth having, are in the end game areas. Getting a decent group together for cap runs is laughable if it just wasn't so sad. I think it would be great fun.
