well, this is why you cannot solo lots :
1) sword eats up too much atr points (13 req, try to get 8 or 9)
2) build doesn't have enough healing power
3) build doesn't have enough "massive" damage affecting every foe around you
4) some extra health wouldn't hurt ...
ok, tried to sum it up in points, basically a sword is not the best weapon to solo a horde of melee-units (*cough*cyclone axe*cough*) and you totally lack healing, some mending doesn't counter a horde of creatures bashing into you
search to forum for articles on "gryphon runs" or some other form of solo runs, that usually contains some builds from which you can start, simply addapting a build to the desired situation is much easier than coming up with a complete build by yourself (make sure you understand why every skill is used in the starting build before you start replacing skills). Also, from own experience : timing is everything, the same build can work perfect when used in one specific order, and can lead to a quick death when used in another way.
hope that helps ...

I would consider running bonetti's if you're using that kickass collector's shield. That or shield stance.

You should take up that offer and buy a lower req better one off the forums or something, then get some aoe smite skills.
I solo with my Mo/Me, and use a sword with IW as elite and smites for aoe, protects and a dab of healing
I'll tell you right now tho, Mending sucks, for that -1 energy tap it requires theres about a score or so better enchants you could use.
