I am having a freaking blast doing all the quests. I think its great fun how they have incorporated NPC to take you places....or to participate in events.

Being new to this game I read a TON of posts that are way over my current comprehension level and even though this post may bore the hell out of some of you I just wanted to say THANKS! To the guys who made this game.

and THANKS! to some of the players who are very helpful and freindly to the n00blets.

I finaly decided after having information overload to expirience the whole pve game as a Warrior/Monk (I held off as long as I could) I think I couldn't have picked a better classs combo to start off with while learning the game and making new freinds.

Anyway I just wanted to post something happy

Hey, I still love the game, too. The fact that I'm not rich doesn't bother me, I have enough to make my characters into what I want them to be, and that's all that there's really any point in having. The game still rocks, so far, and I'm awaiting the upcoming update with bated breath

when you get bored of warrior/monk you should try a less cookie cutter class. You'll enjoy the game all over again experiencing it from a different set of class combos.

I am in the middle crowd now, not totally new, and not godly yet and I have been happy with the game.

the only things that make this game less fun are the poorly AI'ed human players, and the contant whining on this otherwise very helpful forum.

I lovED doing all the quests...but now I have none to do!! I would be totally happy and willing to play the game more hours on end if I had some more quests, and if they increased worthy drops!

I'm so new I didnt think that War/Monk was considered cookie cutter... just a melee that could heal himself.

After reading the forums though I didn't want to make one because of the negative publicity.

But I thought "what the heck..." and I am glad I did... the guy is really fun for me. I am looking forward to something new and fun on the next build too

been since beta nov ... very happy ... over 850 hours clocked and millions of xp on each character. still enjoy it. theres nothing to do ... done all quests missions, pvp is alright but in small doses for me like 20 battles in comp ... organized tombs once in a blue moon ... random pugs for the fun of it on late drunk nights .... still amused with its all perspective ... you can make the best of anything with a little humour and a lotta beer ... going to bottle 60 tonight so i should be okay for the weekend.

if i see any in comp arenas ... your dead.

Good for you!

When I started this game, I did not realize that W/Mo was supposedly a "noob" class either. But, she is fun to play, a fighter/smiter. I like variety, so I also started my elem, my monk, and my mez right away to get a feel for all the classes. (Then bought a second account for a necro and a ranger!)

I am very happy with this game also! (It's the people who have nothing else to do--no jobs, no life, no school at the moment--who get burned out by playing GW day in and day out that I think are doing the most complaining. IMHO.)

I just passed the 400 hour mark yesterday, and I'm still going strong. My playtime is down now that I'm working again, but that actually works perfectly as I can use what time I have to knock out 1 or 2 specific tasks per day. And my guild is ramping up to start GvG soon... which is an aspect of this game I've yet to experience. Oh, and the Summer Update will be here soon. So yeah... I'm enjoying myself.

I love this game too! The PvE is so much fun, especially with a good group of players. Certainly it's had some ups and downs since release... and these forums can really skew ones perspective if taken too seriously. But Anet really cares about the game and the community; and I've met some amazingly kind and wonderful people ingame. Here's a few tips to keep that lovin' feelin'...

1. Take a break when you're feeling burnt out. Two weeks can do wonders.

2. Take the forums here and on other fansites with a grain of salt.

3. If joining a guild, try to find one that's pretty easy going. Don't be afraid to leave if it isn't working out.

And last but not least, my favorite quote of the day...

I love this game too! I only get to play 2 or 3 times a week, and I keep trying out new characters all the time, so even though I do the same stuff over again with the new characters I still haven't gotten tired of this game yet. It is my favorite game I own, and I have a lot of games!. I was somewhat depressed about the trader prices when I tried to buy things the last couple weeks, but that's all been fixed since last week's update so I am back up to max level of game enjoyment.

Don't be afraid to make whatever profession or skill combos you want to try out. Most people who would make fun of someone's build are usually jerks that deserve to be ignored. There are plenty of people to group and socialize with that make the game enjoyable. Try the "Birds of a Feather LFG" thread!

I usually bash my face into my desk repeatedly out of anger while playing. But that may be because I'm in that phase of the game where I'm just killing the same mobs over and over and over so I can get UAS. I still love pvp though.

I cringe and feel like hanging myself whenever I log into the game.

I spend atleast 10 minutes every day hovering my mouse over the uninstall button.

I daydream about ways to overtake A.net and fix what I once loved.

The only thing that keeps me from doing all of these is the fact that i heart my guild.

Uninstall it, no one cares. I have clocked over 400 hours and have YET to beat the game on one char. I do EVERY quest, spend TONS of time in UW/FoW, help guildies, see the scenery.

It's a pitty you can simply finish the PVE in this game. I've done everything in PVE now, except for Southern-Shiverpeaks, quest, exploring map, looking for collectors. If you just started the game, you've got much to do Much fun on the way through!

And TheCrusader, what armor is that Warrior wearing in your avatar? Me likes.

I haven't played too long either, currently at the D'Alessio mission, and i absolutely love this game. The scenery is amazing, i wish to do every quest, unlock all things, and eventually have exploration trips with the guild around the whole map =D I have a long way until i finish this game ^^

I agree

While I am not a person that has time to play this game for 5 hours a day, I find it interesting whenever I come back to play on it. I love the fact that there is plenty of variety in terms of play. Quests / Missions with henchies or PuGs (or guildies if you are in a guild) - or you can wander off exploring the surrounding areas (even came across elona reach by exploring). I also have enough money to keep my character as I want, while i am gradually saving money in storage ready to bring my next character post-searing.

Oh and one more thing.....don't listen to people who say certain builds are rubbish (i.e: Rangers), as long as you learn how to use different professions skill sets, all builds are as useful as each other.

I'm about halfway through this game and I still love it =) I like the approach to storytelling that they did; I hope they get more creative when Sorrow's and Chapter 2 roll along. I'm all for story in a massively multiplayer game like this. It's like we're all watching this movie and get to play a part in it, which is kinda neat. The presentation is great.

I think the game is best enjoyed in small doses and with friends you know in real life. Great Job Arena Net!

Not when your Wife stuffed it full of Her Music The reason I bought her a Ipod for Christmas was so I didn't have to hear her music while she works out. She thought I was so thoughtful to get her that little toy....little did she know that I was giving myself a nice quiet Christmas present. hehehe.

As for this thread. I still enjoy this game quite a bit. Especially when I take a Doctor prescribed Pain Medication before playing.

I call it: "Feel No Pain" Spell.

yea the game is great. i like the fact that you can log in for an hour or so, complete a quest or two, and log off feeling like you accomplished something. great for us folks who actually have lives outside of pc games (which seems to be most guild wars players).

I also love the game...dang, if I don't like a game (which there have been many!), I just uninstall and read until I find another game I do like. Guild Wars is the first game that has held my interest for several months. The scenery, the quests, the missions, meeting new people, the ever fluctuating and exciting economy, lol...I just love it all.

I also created a W/Mo not realizing it had such a bad rap. I also have an E/Mo who is awesome to play, but I'm still struggling with my W/Mo, trying to find a unique build. I guess I'm just used to the big damage my E/Mo puts out...I'm trying to work on a fight/smite build now, but I'm just winging it really. :P Any suggestions would be great!

Don't worry about being W/Mo. Each class has the potential to be a cookie cutter class. It all depends on the skills you use, your style of play, and the attribute point distribution. I have played W/Mo from the very first World Event, through the Beta Weekends, and have logged some 250 hours of play time. So I feel confident in saying you have picked a good class to play for PvE.
