I preordered CE, didn't get jack

So I preordered the CE in full at EBgames, all the guy gave me at the time was my change and the receipt. While I was on my way home, it came to me that I didn't receieve a preorder box or anything. So today, I come in the store and show a different Eb employee my receipt and asked if I was supposed to receieve an early access key and the rest of the stuff. Well, he said he had no clue and that they didn't even have the CE in. So what do I do? Since I didn't receive a preorder box I will have to wait till the 28th, right? And will I still receieve an Ithas Bow and Divine Aura? If I don't I will be so pissed.

The official Guild Wars Knowledge Base says:

Early Access is a way for the Guild Wars Team and NCsoft to extend a thank you to those who have supported our game by preordering it. All preorder customers will be granted Early Access to the game before it is anticipated to be on retail store shelves and before we believe that most shipments will have arrived at customer homes. Early Access for Guild Wars will open at 12:01 a.m. Pacific Time (08:01 GMT) on April 27th, and end at 11:59 p.m. Pacific on April 28th (07:59 GMT April 29th). This means that the Early Access period will furnish preorder customers with up to 48 hours of game time before Guild Wars is on the shelves or before a player's copy arrives via a mailer or shipper. More details will be provided closer to launch.

About the CE it says:

When you input the Collector's Edition access key, each character on your account will receive the Divine Aura. If you also preordered Guild Wars and have activated the preorder access key, you will also receive the special in-game item on each of your characters. Additional details about the Divine Aura will be available close to the release of Guild Wars.

From this, I would say that a CE does not give you Early Access.

If you don’t have a pre-order key from the pre-order box, you will not get the bow, and if you don’t have the CE box with code, then you will not get the Aura. Sounds like you should take the game back... and get the CE... they will most likely get it in the next day or so... I know the EB near me only gets them tomorrow... and they already have the retail version. Sounds like you just have the retail version.

I preordered the basic game from gamestop and already have the "Warpick" in my account, today I upgraded to the Collectors edition and will pick it up tomorrow, does that mean that I will not recieve the "Dive Aura"? or is it a standard item with any Custo,e edittion purchased?

There is a preorder box for CE... i seen it at gamestop... i was playing with it for a bit... cuz it looked cooler than the non CE edition...

You will get both... infact, if you have more than one preorder code you can stack the codes and use all the pre-order items.. I have two so far (ithias bow and the sheild) and tomorrow I will pick up my CE and have three special items... its cool that they let you do that... I don't think they will give you an advantage, but they will be fun to use... lol

I picked up pre-orders at CompUSA, Target and EB Games. Ordered my CE from EB Games. I entered all three pre-orders codes today and it shows that I have the bow, censure and idol and can play starting tomorrow. I'm gonna try and get pre-orders from all the stores (after the release) and see if I can get all of the special items. They probably won't be any good in the long run, but it's become a challange!

No, I preordered the CE for sure, I put in 80 bucks and it said I did on the receipt. The guy said he didn't receive a CE in. So...what should I do to get the ingame item. The guy at Eb says they don't even have an preorder box. I have nothing physically except for the receipt. If I can't get this straightened out and I don't get an Ithas Bow or a Divine Aura, I'll be pissed.

You wont get the bow, that is sad truth, but dont worry about it.
Divine Aura you will still get when you enter the cd-key from the CE box.

as its been said allllll over this forum, youll get the "Devine Aura" CE item when you type in the code of the retail game. as for any preorder items, you will not get those on your account if you havnt or dont put in the BWE code (or whatever its called).

people need to read these forums, and read them carefully, ive noticed alot of repeating and its rather sad. the guys here at this forum have been doing an awsome job of answering everyones questions and i feel sorry for them when it comes to repeating a answer when they coulda just read a few posts.

on a side note, i just got my CE of GW today got it from ebgames, and the regular game i got for a buddy came in yesterday, was kinda cool geting a game that shows up at your front door 3 days before its released, i should preorder games more offten.

Darn, that means I won't get the poster that comes with the preorder box either :/ . On the site it states this:

How much does the preorder package cost?

When you place a deposit on a preorder for Guild Wars, you will receive a copy of the preorder package. That deposit will be applied to the retail cost of the game. Most retailers have a deposit requirement of between $5 and $10 in order to obtain the preorder package.


Therefore, I believe even though I did not preorder the standard game, I should still have recieeved it since I payed in full as well. It does not specifiy if you only receive it with the standard edition or CE.

So regardless of whether or not we got the pre-order box for the CE, we will still get the "Dive Aura"?

Yes. Divine Aura is tied only to the CE cd-key. So ordering early or not having the pre-order key will not affect this. You will have it once the key is entered.

I heard somewhere on this forum you will receive DA only if you preorder.

No. The pre-order items are weapons or shields that can boost your lower level character at the beginning, but from what others have said, it wont last long anyway. You should be able to find better stuff very early on that will take the place of you pre-order items.

Lighten up man, it's 2 days before the game goes live and people are excited.

If you really want the pre-order stuff, look around at Target and other stores that sell it. Others have metioned that they have found pre-order boxes in thier area for as little as $1.00 to even $.01

Yes, I heard this too, yet I just felt like I would like to have a preorder item to help me out in the beginning. Plus, I want to get to play a day early, guess I can't. No poster or the other crap in the preorder box for me too *sniff*.
