Maybe this mysterious benefactor of yours was actually leaving the game (maybe a PvPer tired of waiting for change) and didn't want the ectos to just sit idle after they erase GW from their hard drive.

It is inevitable. No matter how someone tries to post something that shows that NOT ALL GW PLAYERS ARE ASSHATS, people will go on the offensive/defensive.

This post has absolutely NOTHING, WHATSOEVER to do with "bragging rights". It has EVERYTHING to do with showing that not ALL uber-high-end players with the best gear are assholes.

The posts in here, for the most part were constructive, and indicative of the TOPIC. The "i don't believe you's" have no worth for upset value, because those people have no purpose, save throwing threads HIDEOUSLY off topic. Whether I am believed or not is moot. The guy was nice to me without cause or incentive, and it is an object lesson "taking the high road".

To those that actually said somehting of substance, thanks. To the rest of you, nothing surprises me, so keep on truckin in ass-land.

I am not angry. I rarely get grasped with that emotion.

What I feel is pity. Pure, unadulterated sadness, that this community is so filled with useless, fevered egos who feel the need to toss a wrench in ANY topic, no matter how serious the discussion BEGINS. The topic was about how nice people ARE in the game still, and that all the threads about "gw sucks omg imma cry to death at the lameness" have absolutely NO point, and are outright blatant LIES, and anyone who perpetuates that shit should be banned without warning for being alarmist assholes. That was the thread purpose. Winning "im impressed" from non-entities I will never meet in the game or out has no value to me whatsoever. I am not concerned with approval ratings from people who seem to post in here more than play the damn game. Their activity tells me more than their sentiments. No bruise. No meaning.
