Purchase GW online... IMMEDIATE access

I know most of us have pre-orders, but I was just checking out the client (you know, the usual clicking 6 hours before an event just to be sure lol) and I noticed that if you don't want to go to the store and buy the game off the shelf you can buy an account straight from ANet.

This will probably come coupled with a large DL, but as an advantage you'll escape sales tax and really be getting the exact same thing others are getting.

For those of you that haven't gotten the game yet, I thought I might point this out. I tend to be of the type that think that getting the box is simply part of the purchasing experience, but I'm kinda sick like that =P

To buy an account, simply click "create account" on the log-in screen and select the option.

He's talking about the logon screen in the client itself. Run the game and click create account.

Edit: Oops, wrong NCS site. It goes to:

But there's still no option to download it, only gives links to EB and Gamestop and such.

Yeah I am... hmm, I didn't actually bother clicking the button before lol because I had already pre-ordered the game!

If someone else is able to clarify on this, please let me know! If not, sorry for the bad information (but don't tell anyone I wasn't perfect, ok?)

sad part of it is, id pay another 50 bucks just to play right about now lol.

Anet are like crack dealers! they gave us just enough on the BWE to get us hooked! This is a greagt way of doing a beta. If you have full access to a beta some people become bored of the game before it's ever released, this way you only get to "party" for a weekend then forced to wait a few more weeks before another fix. I forsee other developers using this model for beta testing and stress testing.

Just 5 more hours!
