Weird Char Screen

I played in Beta, had no problems then. Now that I have the retail version installed, each time I login, and try clicking something like, Edit account, Play, Create, I get this wicked looking blackscreen with white swirls at the bottom. Anybody seen this happening before? I will try to get a screenshot if I can of what it looks like.

Did you try just cranking everything down at the login screen for a test? Looks like video card is pissed off.

Can you give us some hardware specs?

Does DxDiag run the video card tests with no problems? And, are you runing the latest/best drivers for your video card?

Ok tired DxDiag, everything ran fine. I know I have 9.0c DirectX...BUT...I forgot aobut vid drivers. Been a long day, sorry. Will try updateing them real fast and let ya know how that goes.

Heh, well the regular ATI Catalyst drivers messed it alllllll up, so I tried the latest Omega Drivers, works like a charm now .

Staying up all nite last nite playing Counter-Strike Source and Matrix Online can play games with your brain.

Great! I like the omega drivers myself, but I didnt want to tout them if the regular ATI drivers worked ...

Anyone enjoy the new ATI control center? I use dual monitor alot and I find this new one really laggy. I know the program uses .net, that allone bothers me. Anyone else use the new one?

The bulk of people that have posted here I believe are using modified versions of ATI drivers, either the Omega's or Guru's. (not this guru site)
