If you have made this mistake and want to correct it.

Okay, this is what you need to do...

1. If you have the pre-order then what you need to do is uninstall the retail and re-install the Beta. Use the Password and E-mail that was used for the Beta. You will know if this works the second you install when it promts for the information.

2.Now, when the 28th comes you should install the Retail, Not before.

NOTE: You will know if this works the second you install the Beta and the Beta Key with the original E-mail & Password, it will say you are ready.

2nd NOTE: This will apply with other problems depending on what you did.

Don't change the e-mail and password unless you have a new 1, Plus don't do it until you get the retail version installed on the 28th. That was from another post i'll edit it.

You can play on the 27th, just log on with your beta account. You can use the retail version of the game, as the beta and retail client are the same. Just sign in using the beta info.

right but, it won't save my character and items etc, because my retail key is not assigned to the beta login info now, it's on it's own email address by accident.

If you're going to buy another copy like you said you might in the other thread, when you activate that key whatever you did during the early access will still be there.

i have early access, and i'm wondering, on the 28th i'll put in my retail key, cause i got the retail game this evening since it shipped in, and i'm wondering after i put in the retail key, do i need to install the 2 disks? or is it not nessesary?

You don't have to install the two discs, but there is no harm in doing so (They can be installed over the beta version, so no need to uninstall)

You can also enter the retail key now, I have. Just log on, go to edit account - manage access keys and enter it there. There is no harm in entering all your keys now.

sorry, i need to step in and ask a question here:

are you saying that since i have the pre-order copy installed already (played it during the last 2 events). When i get the retail version, I won't have to install anything, I'll just need to enter my retail code?

I would do the full install, because the 2 discs have extra data that the game will need....

As for the option to use the Retail key... if it actually works HOLLAR! to us so we all know....
Thanks

That's right, you should to install the areas you never went to doing the beta (It's a quick install anyway) so your load times are shorter when you play the game, but all you need is the retail code

The retail code does work now. I've got both the retail and pre-order codes on my client.

*keeps trying to push the hands of the clock forward*

guess my mom was right after all... time does go slower if you watch the clock *heh*

heh i just tried to log in.. i knew it wouldn't work but was curious what would happen... it let's me see the characters that i had created during the events.. but i only can hit the next button and it asks for a new code

should be interesting to see what happens in a couple of hours.
