Ok I havent dont a lot of tombs but am starting to try it more. However, I dont know what the hell to do with some of this stuff. MAinly I am talking about the one that is all gold inside a temple with the relics. What are you supposed to do there? And once I was in this party that had to hold an alter there, what is that all about? I guess I shouldnt press skip cinema. Please help me out so next time I know what I am doing, becuase my whole team had no clue.

there are various maps, usually starting with Underworld, a very basic 1v1 wipeout map.
it can start with different maps
some of the common ones
Burial Mounds - 4 Teams or 8 Teams, fight it out and winner takes all.
Broken Tower - Hold the Altar for Ten minutes, keep your ghostly alive to prevent other teams from taking it, has ressurection orbs to ressurect the ghostly.
Relics Run Maps you have to take the relic from the enemy team and return it to your Ghostly Hero, keep him alive at all costs, u cant afford the lose time and wait for him to res

There are essentially three types of tombs maps.
Free for all Melee (last man standing sort of deal) Dais Maps (King of the Hill) Relic Run Maps (Capture the Flag)
The free for all maps have 3 main types.
1v1: This is a simple 1 verse 1 map.Lower Tier: The lower tier map has no priest so you just need to kill the other team. If you kill the hero you get a 10% morale boost and it also recharges ALL your skills. This morale boost carries over to the next match. If you kill the other team before killing their hero then you don't get the morale boost. Upper Tier (It's all gold and stuff): This map is just like the 1v1 lower tier except each team has a priest. The priest stays back at your "base" and will rezz your fallen teammates every 2 minutes. Thus to win this map you need to kill the priest and the other team. Killing the hero here will also give you a morale boost. 6 team "rumble"Lower Tier Only: This is a huge map with 6 teams. You start off facing 1 team in front of you but you can always run and fight someone else. There are obelesik stands (3 in total) which you can capture with your flags. They shoot bolts of lighting at enemy targets. Each team has a hero on this map which can be killed to gain a morale boost and recharge all your skills. 1v1 -> 3 team rumbleLower Tier Only:This map starts off as 1v1 with an obelisk (no priest). Once you kill the other team the doors open and let you run out into another larger arena which will have 2 other teams in it (the winners of their respective 1v1 matches). Each team has a hero on this map which can be killed to gain a morale boost and recharge all your skills.
There are 2 Dais maps
Lower Tier: There are 3 teams involved and a central alter. You have a hero which you need to lead to the alter. Once the hero is standing in the center of the alter he will start to capture the alter (takes 5 seconds). Once he captures the alter your team controls it. If your team controls the alter at the end of 10 minutes you win. If your hero dies but no other team takes the alter you win. There are also resurrection orbs which you can pick up and then drop. They will rezz people in a certain radius around where you drop them (your team and hero only). Rezz orbs are the only way to bring your hero back to life on this map. There are no priests. Killing the enemy hero does NOT give you a morale boost. Upper Tier: This is a gold version of the lower tier map. It works just like the lower tier map but instead of rezz orbs there is a priest for each team. The priest will rezz your team every 2 minutes including the hero. If you are holding the daisand your priest is killed, the priest will rezz at the dais. If you are holding the dais then your team will auto rezz at the dais every 2 minutes. If your priest dies and your hero dies and you aren't holding the dais then you have no way to win. Killing the enemy hero does NOT give you a morale boost.

There are 2 relic maps
- Lower Tier: This is a straightforward map where you run to the other team's base, grab their relic and bring it back to your hero. The hero must be alive to give the relic to him. If your hero is killed he will respawn automatically every 2 minutes. In general, the team that capped (i.e., captured the relic) last will win in the event of a tie. If you manage to cap 3 orbs more than the other team that results in an automatic win. If nobody manages to cap anything then I think both teams loose but I could be wrong there. I don't think I've ever seen that situation arise.
Upper Tier: This map is the gold version of the lower tier relic map. It has the same exact rules as the lower tier map but the map itself is more complicated. There's a bridge with a gate and a switch to open it. If you can control the gate switch then you can let your relic runners use the bridge which is the shortest route from the enemy hero to your hero. If not, you have to run around the long way.
Finally there is the hall of heroes.
- Hall of Heroes: This map starts off as a 1v1 with the team in front of you. No priest but you do have a hero. Once you kill the team in front of you a bridge will descend and you can enter "the hall". At this point the map turns into a Dais map (i.e., King of the Hill). The last team to be holding the alter at the end of 10 minutes wins. If your team gets wiped out you will auto rezz every 2 minutes. Essentially it is just like the upper tier dais map but every team has a priest which cannot be killed in their base.
Hopefully that little run down will help. It's all from memory so I might have made some mistakes but the gist of it should be correct.
