Although there are a lot of posts about this already, none of them that i have found mention what weapon set to use when using this build. I have heard people use a sword with and off hand, and some use a -50hp staff/offhand, but i was wondering which was the best for a UW solo'er

depends on the build:

for the 55hp monk, use a -50hp focii and a smiting rod with 20% faster recharge.

for the 105hp monk, use a 20/20 smiting staff.

If you ask 10 different solo monks about the best build you'll get 11 different answers....
