Ok. If you don't do any quests, you'll have NO spells at all. You can only attack with a weapon and use a shield and the collectors armour. Now that provided, once you reach 0 xp from the strongest Char, you do all the quests (including the skill ones you don't want for you second class so you get the 500xp reward) does anyone know how high of a level you can become? I'm guessing it only adds up to about 1 or 2 additional levels after you can only get XP from quests, so I guess that'd be around level 17 or 18? Just wondering. What's the highest you've actually seen in pre-searing? I'm thinking about doing it for fun and being super rich in pre-searing also... lol well it'll take some time that's for sure, but I think eventually it'll work out.

I hit 16 in pre seer and became 17 at the very first quest were you have to talk to Warmaster Tydus when you first arrive in post seer.

I think that you may be able to hit 17 pre-seer but I'm not positive of that.

16 is the cap I believe in presearing... I know I saw that someplace, but I have not ben able to find it again... But you are absolutly right... Normally the best you are going to get doing as designed is around 8 or 9... but when you attack everything till you start seeing 0exp. then do EVERY presearing quest... I believe you will hit 16 and stop. like with Cap on 20 everywhere else. Never done it though to see... Best I ever was in presearing personally was level 13 ranger / warrior, and I cleaned out the Northlands completly with a monk / elementist at level 10 party partner. But gee the searing still happened... bummer...

of course that would kind of screw the game for the rest of us if I stopped the searing somehow. lol

Note that most (all?) of the pre-searing profession trainers give you the skills when you accept the quest, not as a reward when you have completed the quest. This means you can get most of the skills, then much later when you've hit the XP roof, come back to collect the quest rewards.

I don't think you can get as high as 17 or 18 I was thinking you would be capped at 15. Now if you somehow versed someone at 15 in the little duel before the quest to go into post sear, and then warped out in the middle, rinse and repeat, you could probably obtain higher levels.

As you get XP for killing mobs up to five levels below you you can obviously get up to level 16 by killing the level 10 charr north or the wall. After that I don't think (I'm not sure though) that the quests will give you enough to reach level 17, so 16 is probably the max you could expect to reach.

However, it would take one hell of a long time as you'd be getting only 16xp per charr boss (that's if you do it solo after someone helps you over the wall).

i dont even bother to get to level 5 anymore in pre-searing. I tend to get to post as soon as possible, but thats normally because im making a char to use some weapon i found and i wanna use real bad!

I can really imagine the faces of the people facing you in that little PVP Part when you stomp them with level 17 XD

oh man, level 16 in Ascalon!! I get out of that place as soon as possible. It is so boring to me. Let alone doing it with no spells! LOL! Level 4 is my limit. Once I hit level 4, I am outta there and on to better things. Whatever floats your boat!

Some guy once said he let the charr in the northern wall kill him over and over until they leveled, and then he killed them for EXP. Dunno if it was true.

this has been discussed many many times. And I went through pre-sear with my monk. You can hit level 16 by killing until even the lvl10 char bosses don't give you XP anymore. After you reach level 16 you'll need roughly 11,000 XP until you hit level 17. There is only 7500 XP available in Pre-Sear doing all quests(1 secondary profession quest). If you were to do ALL the secondary profession quests you'd gain an additional 2500 and still be about 1,000 XP short of level 17.

Level 16 is the highest you can go in pre-sear

Warping out during the fight drops you into the mission after it. Warping out during that returns you back to the mission.

The first 10 hours or so of the game are by far more boring than any other part. Only around Gates of Kryta do things get interesting (to me at least). I think I would die of boredom trying to see how high I could get in pre-searing lol

lv18 monk in ore searing... saw that to. Its said you can lv to 20 by letting charr kill you and "I guess" they lv from the exp from killing you but you can't leave the area or it resets their lv. To me that all seems pointless... I always leave at lv8.

So you show up in post searing Ascalon as level 18 with starter armor and a bow that does 10 dmg? To me that's the funniest part. Like a kid who flunked Grade 1 ten times and is twice the size of everyone else but still no smarter.

i always find it funny how people get to high levels like 18, but once they get to post it makes no differance, i guess you would have to stay in pre and constantly say : Hey look everyone im level 18, it took me weeks but seeing all the wows and OMFG made it all worth while,

If they are a w/mo under the age of 10 then repeat but all IN CAPS, JUST TO MAKE SURE EVERYONE NOTICES HOW SPECIAL YOU ARE.

P.S: No offence intended

oh and how fun it would be to see the look on people's face during the PvP period that lasts for 2 minutes, it would be a pitty if you were with henchman, or if no opposing team join so you go to the misson insted (happened to me once)
