Scam to watch out for, I fell for it, You dont have to.

This guy offered me some money for my ecto. It was a little high but I figured he was desperate.

He put the money in the window, then cancelled trade.

Did it again.

On the third time he accepted, but had only put 20g in the window...

The player's name was Dutch Slamhammer X and I have a SS if anyone would care to see it.

ya that suks, these days stupid pll who can't get gold by themselves try to scam others,

ruins the game for everyone...

oh well, best is just to get him banned, hope u gave Anet the ss as well.

i think that this type of scam happens once in a while.

it almost happened to me, too. i was selling a shard, and the guy put 3plat first. he then cancelled the trade and said, 'oops, pushed wrong button.' when we opened up the trade again, he put 3 gold. i promptly cancelled and said, 'nice try, bud.'

be careful about buying things too. make sure to mouse over items before accepting to see if it was switched with something with a similar icon or not.

they key is to always double check before accepting.

lol..yeah happened to me also...
i get it mostly from international players for some reason...

1) i never trade more then twice
2) always take 10 seconds to look over trade, never rush
3) if someone tries to pull a fast one, use that 2-9 staff you found in presearing ascalon, he just trying to end it asap..and he's probably not looking...LOL

*ya 3) worked for me...i sold it for 150 gold..WOWeee...
even though the guy was trying to buy my gold bow..lol...
so im in the market for another 2-9 staff...

Ya gave Anet the SS, with the entire conversation, the offer, cancelled trades and the final result. Also mentioned how horrible these guys can be on the community.
