not that I have any reason to expect this to happen to me but...
what if someone gives you negative feedback unfairly (making stuff up or didn't even trade with them, etc)?

If such as the above does happen, contact one of us with some solid proof, such as a screenshot or five, and let us know what happened. We will make sure to PM the opposing party and hear their side of the story.
From my understanding, if we delete the linked thread for the trade, it will remove the negative comment. If it doesn't, I'll contact the admins and ask them for a little more power via the trade comments.
And for that "You never posted an IGN!" comment, people, if you ever look to the left, and in the information there, you would notice most have their game name posted there? If you add that person to your friends list, it will show what name they are currently playing under so you can contact them. *Sigh*

actually deleting the thread doesnt delete the rating, ill see if i can give the trade mods permission to edit those

It's a good idea but I reserve judgment for a few weeks to see how it all works out.
I mean if people start saying will only trade with a trader rating of X then I would say that it was a failure

Oh, and Tippy. Keep in mind, even if someone has a super big ubergantic rating, it doesn't mean that person will always have what someone is looking for, while someone with a zero rating might. Its mainly some common sense I'd say.
"This person has a weapon I want! He has a negative number, maybe I should look into it..."
"This person has a weapon I want! He has a zero? It can't hurt can it?"
"This person has a weapon I want! A positive number! Sweet, I'm there!"
As an FYI to everyone, even if someone has a couple of negatives, there might be a good reason why. They are able to still post in the thread that is linked to the trade, so they could post up a reason. For all you know, their mom had to kick them off or a tree fell on their cable line. Negatives don't mean, "Lets not trade with him." they just mean to be careful when trading with that person. If all goes well, then that positive feedback you give them can help them get back into the good graces of people! =)

I hate to be a burden, but if this is actually being developed by real people, how much effort would it be to create folders within this structure based on item catagories.
IE
- Weapons
- Shields
- Monster Remains
- Craft Materials
- Runes
- Scrolls
- Misc
I know that may seem incredibly arrogant to ask about, but it was in the diabloII marketplace, and I absolutely loved it. It made finding items you wanted to buy or trade for a lot easier.

hmm... Lately I haven't been able to access the trader ratings page. I get this error:
I don't think that the trader rating is so priveledged that I can't access it and if someone has disabled my account then couldn't someone have told me?

Forget trade rating...It seems to be broken right now. Beside your nickname it says "Trade Rating" and there's a number in the brackets. If you click on that number for other people you USE TO be able to give them trade ratings and comments. Now it's just a number =)
