Prior to guildwars they said that they were going to make it so that when you beat a mission it effects the entire world, This was not the case at all. Here's what the devs need to work out RIGHT NOW, and get done before they work on chapter two more to save the actual game. This is just a small portion of something that should be done, but probably won't be done.
Every outpost should have three districts, One for if you have completed the mission, one for if you have NOT completed the mission, and one for if you've completed the mission and the bonus quest. In some instances some places should even have a fourth district, Gates of kryta for example, It should look differently depending on whether or not you're still friends with the white mantle. You can go in a district that you've already been to, but not one that you havn't (IE you can't go in to the district where you've beaten the bonus quest or mission if you havn't, but if you have beaten the mission you can go in to the district where you havn't beaten anything yet). Now, here's where you actually feel rewarded for doing PVE. If you've done the bonus quest you should be given bonus quests by NPC's, How about every time you beat a mission in the snow you can go back to an NPC and he'll give you a free pint of ale. NPC's should have something different to say in each district type. They should reward and thank you for making their environment better whether or not they asked for it.
Here's another suggestion (Don't know if it's already in guildwars as I uninstalled it over a month ago)
Any message in all chat with WTB,WTS,Selling,Buying should automatically be filtered out.
A real way to fix the PVE in guildwars.

.. and if rewards were introduced it would have to be ensured people dont continuously do bonusses and get good rewards, sell them on etc.
Filtering WTB and all the rest would be good as it can be annoying when there is a whole channel just for TRADE which people dont use.. lets face it people will find a way around like, Im trading! or something so a lil pointless maybe

I kinda like these ideas...Especially the district one. So far as I've seen the missions(and some quests) are very dynamic in comparison to other MMO's(one thing I love about this game). It would be great if they made them even MORE dynamic through the use of that district idea.

Meep meep's idea of different districts like that sounds like a great idea for PVE. It would flow better with the story as your character progresses through the game.

This suggestion is as almost like how Id imagine the game aspired to be.
This game certainly has the potentaul to go here and make story flow more chronologicly.

I just destroyed the heirarchy of the White Mantle, not to mention their Unseen Gods.
I think I'll go back to Lion's Arch! Oh, hey there my trusty White Mantle friend! How're things going?
In other words, I basically agree with the idea. =P

Yes, as it currently stands, the only explanation is that the chosen are time travelers.
Each town you visit is stuck in it's own time period and can never move forward.
What they meant when they said that the content changes depending on peoples' experiences is that if for instance, a player in Piken Square has the Siege of Piken Square quest, and goes outside with someone who doesn't have it, the siege will be on for both of them, but if the person without the quest goes out by themselves it won't be on. It wasn't hyped like that though.
I agree that it would be nice to have the whole world changing as you progress, but it would be a major technological challenge.

Kind of just sounds differently though.

At first, I must be honest, I though you were just another person whining about PvP. I am happy to say I was wrong. Its a great idea, and I agree. When I kill, well, ALL the white mantle leaders, I should'nt be able to go back to LA and talk to my happy WM friend to get some skills, or talk to the trusty WM savants in Kryta, ect... They should not be there once you get past point "X" because logically, they wouldn't, and if they are, they shouldnt help you.
Great idea meep meep, thanks for bringing it up.

For the record, when yiou finish a mission, it DOES affect the entire world for your character. Think of the different outposts etc as a timeline, when you reached Lions Arch, the Mantle were you buddies, get a little further (bloodstone fen) and they are now the enemy, thats changing the world. Would you prefer they took out the ability for you to go back to previously visited locations once you've done a mission and moved forward?

Superb idea, I like this a lot. Not only would it lend a sense of progression to the game, but it would reward those who completed the bonus missions.
I'd also like it if you could do an NPC quest and later in the game if someone in your party completed that quest earlier then some other NPCs might be available in the instanced environment to offer new quests, limited collectors items, special scrolls or lend a hand in combat.
