I believe hundred blades should be upped just alittle bit to stabalize its damage. so far right now it only does 2 attacks which really isnt very much. Its very similar to cyclone axe , and i know somone wrote something about that. maybe it can be like added +1-10 extra damage or somthing or maybe does 2 critcal hits to up the damage. People Comment. i guess there might be a strategic reason for hundred blades being 2 hits

Yes, that reason is the increase in adrenaline you get when surrounded by mobs. It's a great way for Wars to amp themselves up.

ya.. but cyclone axe does the same thing except completely surrounds the person instead of doing double hits.

Well I believe part of the reason this skill is the way it is has to do with the damage of swords Vs axes.

A max axe does 6-28. At Axe level 16 (as an example), you get +12 damage. making the possible output 18-40 against all targets around you.

A max sword does 15-22 damage. This skill doesn't get an upgrade by level, but you get a double hit on your opponent and all adjecent foes. That means you could do 30-44 damage to each foe.

Basically just going on the numbers here (not factoring in armor and spells and the like), you have the possibility of doing twice as much damage with Hundred Blades than you would with Cyclone Axe (30 minimun Vs a low of 18).

Making the skill STRONGER would actually UNBALANCE it, leaning heavily in favor of swords.

Hundred Blades is actually a very powerful skill, but was not so due to the fact it only did 75% each. However, most people fail to do anything effective with it. It makes buffs doubly effective and does great AoE if used correctly.

It's a more effective PvE skill than a PvP one, though. Try this next time - Go aggro a mob you know you can handle, back up about three steps, then use Hundred Blades. It should go off against most or all of the enemies, giving you two adrenaline per, plus double damage.

Maybe it's just me, but I believe that Hundred Blades was simply made Elite to deal with its abuse with Illusionary Weaponry. I believe that making it non-Elite again would go a long way into making IW viable again.

By itself cyclone axe as a skill does do up to +10 more damage at 4 seconds recharge. Hundred Blades hits twice at an 8 second recharge but no added +10 more damage. In time of use they are the same, but, really for damage output the cyclone axe gets that added +10 to every hit. So the 6 becomes a 16 and the 28 becomes a 38, while the sword just does 15 to 22 which in the end equates to 30 to 44 (15x2 + 22x2) for the sword vs 32 to 76 (16x2 + 38x2) for the axe in the same amount of time. Thus by all practical purposes the Cyclone Axe should be the ELITE here and not the Hundred Blades.

Now if they made Hundred blades only requre 4 second recharge then it would be a lot more elite than it is now, to me it's not elite at all. But at a 4 second recharge then it would equate to (15x4 + 22x4) = 60 to 88 dmg output at the same time increment as the Cyclone Axe.

The Elite skill to me that makes the swordsman a viable option build is FLOURISH, this recharges every attack skill and adds up to 6 energy for each attack skill recharged and it has a 10 second recharge. Built correctly and with the right attribute points in place a swordsman could have unlimited energy and use a constant barrage of attack skills.
