Axe,sword or hammer?

Wondering your opinions on the 3 weapon types.

Axes are nice when ganged up on. Axe sweep to damage all. Swords, lots of bleeding. Hammers lots of knock down power. Personally I use hammers. Not so much because I like them they just fit the build of my character. And that is what I think should be the determining factor here. Choose the weapon which will fit 1 - Your style of play. 2 - Your characters purpose.

Axes and swords have an equal but faster ias then hammers do. ias= increased attack speed, d2 term) However hammer is way stronger then axes and sword, yet you lose the ability to ahve a shield. For pve, go with sword. For pvp, go with hammer if you want knockdown and good damage. Axes? ehhh there minimum damage is waay to low, and its max is only 3 higher then a sword's max. But you may want somebody elses opinion on axes, im no expert on that.

Axes probably have the highest DPS of the three. Their low minimum damage means nothing when your opponent is running from you, because you always get critical hits which takes the maximum damage value of your weapon. So axes crit higher than swords. Also at lvl 16 axe, you get two +42 damage attacks which don't make you "lose all adrenaline", namely Eviscerate and Executioner's Strike.

Hammer does decent damage too, but its best utility is knockdown.

I like swords, but that's because of the way they look, not their stats.

I have two Warriors, One completed everything, max fire sword & Magna shield. Has swordsmanship maxxed.

Baby Warrior (lvl 13) Use max Chao Axe, Eternal shield.

Tho the sword seems faster, (and I know they are the same speed) the damage is constant. (100 blades beats cyclone axe any day)

The Axe on the other hand veries a lot in amount or damage, but its numbers are way higher than the maxxed out sword. (and sometimes way lower)

Im not liking the Axe skills so far. Im at Yaks now. So I have a ways to go to get better axe skills.

Hammers are just to slow for my style fighting. I have a killer gold double head, in my storage, that just sits there.

Use whatever youd like, in duels against other people or in the RPG of the game, swords are great. But in PvP, warriors are always chasin people around (a still caster is a dead caster against a nice KD warrior), and as mentionedaxes get alot of critical hits when chasin people around, so that is great. my advice: PVE: swords or axes, so u can use shields to tank. PvP hammer or axe

My only advice: choose between axes or hammers. Take out swords from the equation
