Okay, here is a little flamer disclaimer... I am not that smrt just trying to make an observation...
I wanted to try and figure out a pricing scale for all these damage mods for weapons so everybody could have a sense of sanity when buying a weapon. First I am only going to really examin bows because thatz what I mostly use. And lets concentrate on +15% damage over 50 health...
15-28 max damage:
% Damage Adj: Actual Damage:
10% 16.50 - 30.20
11% 16.65 - 31.08
12% 16.80 - 31.36
13% 16.95 - 31.64
14% 17.10 - 31.92
15% 17.25 - 32.20
14-27 Damage:
10% 15.40 - 29.70
11% 15.54 - 29.97
12% 15.68 - 30.24
13% 15.82 - 30.51
14% 15.96 - 30.78
15% 16.10 - 31.05
Now I have also seen some 14-28 damage bows out there. Now considering the crazy pricing system out there where 15% ova 50 go for insane prices.... the collector bows just start to seem more and more like a better idea...
Price Corrilation to damage Mod

doesn't matter for people....I said several months ago that a 13%>50% and 15%>50% are equal. However, nobody cared or will care. Why? some people just want to make sure they're getting the best equipment possible (one person told me that a 15% might secretly have a higher critical), others just have too much money to get anything but 15% weapons.
thexgodfatherx69
well it depends would the 15% damage come after the critical then there would be a significant boost I dont know how crits work tho would someone care to enlighten us =)

Non critical damage, they are indeed basically equal. However there will be a bit of discrepency between their critical damages. Enough for a 200k price increase? Probably not. But people have always been paying significantly higher for perfect items. They did in Diablo 2, they'll do it in GW.

So does anyone know how cirtical damage works?
bee65n
critical damage in this game isn't like many other games (it isn't max dmg*2, etc). Critical dmg just means you do the maximum dmg possible that you can do.

are you sure? it seems more than that to me
