Is it just me, or are random arenas more fun than tombs?

What do you guys think...and yes...I am bored t.t.

I'd tell you but no one wants a w/mo (you all know it's true). Maybe if I was like rank 7 or something I might get into a group.
When I actually did the tombs way back when, it was fun but... the racism is unreal. Seriously, grow up people...

i think tombs is way to serious... people take it too seroiusly. occasionally you see people making a group of 4 people + 4 henchies for a but of fun (i got to round 3 with one of these)
you get a feeling of comradeship in the random arena's if you are monk quite often people thank you for healing and say that if they are attacking you just call for help.
however there are some small minded players who take random arenas too seriously.

Arena is for when you want to numb your mind and put all the chat channels on ignore. Tombs is for when you want to play.

I general I agree with the OP: I like Arenas better then Tombs. To slightly alter your statement: Arenas are for fun, Tombs are if you want to work instead of play. At least most people there seem to take Tombs so overserious and overcompetitive you get the impression that the war is real instead of a game. Also 95% of the flaming I saw or received in GW were from "team"mates after our team was beaten by a obviously better one. Nice name calling, really... ("d*mn noob" among the more harmless of them).

I like the Random Arenas much more then the Tombs. Since in the tombs people are insane, and tend to be too over the top for my liking.
Plus in the Arenas I don't have to stand about for 2 hours just to get into a party, which to this very day does my head in!
Unless you have rank 3 and above people don't want to know...

Tombs are serious because it's a world competition
at least there is pvp for every liking
at least there is pvp for every liking

I get sick of tombs because of being forced to go onto TS to end up being screamed at because we lost.

but I think the points are:
*) you play tombs for winning
*) you play arena for some action and fun

Team Arenas I could see - they're fun simply because the fights are very structured and small, as well as not giving you that much trouble getting a full team together. Random Arenas are just poo on a platter - bring skillcounters to current common metagames and rule away, big freaking duh. Quite a few people seem to enjoy it though for the ego gratification - something I can't quite follow, because as a team of 4 random people taking credit for kills is silly, even if you did 100% of the direct damage to the target the entire round.
As for Tombs, they're great. Going up against competitive teams and huge campfe... errr, fights are both things that pleasure me in a very genital way. The only turnoff is finding or making a full group of 8 - that takes ages before you've setup a network of contacts. Then after up to 2 hours of just making a group you'll need to actually get the build to work with the players you have, which is a painful timesink as well.

I definitly agree. I play this game for fun, but Tombs is just "serious", so noone has fun, but are "serious". But actually noone is serious, they want to start as soon as possible, no talking, just start, no stratagy at all and then..? Then they leave because we only got 4% Morale Boost? OF COURSE WE GET 4 MORALE BOOST WITHOUT A STRATAGY YOU DUMB IDIOT!
Every now and then I would like to play serious, but hey, I can't with these guys in your team. PUG's is just no option.
In Team Arenas, you don't need stratagy, take the group you like, invite people who seem cool to you, and if someone dies because he accidently casts Offering of Blood when 10% on life every thinks it's funny, and don't complain about it and this is so important.
Hall of Heroes is for you and your Guild, make a nice stratagy AND make fun. This game is for fun, not just for seriousness. Of course, winning is great, but can't you make fun on the way? Don't try PUG's, if not enough teammates are online to makes a nice HOH team, just play Team Arenas!

Just like that he goes:
Rude Guy: "Who's the ramdom **** on our server?"
Other guy 1: "Random who joined our team, he's got a good build"
Other guy 2: "He's from the UK as well!"
Rude Guy: "Well kick the ****, we don't need him and I want in"
*I'm kicked just like that*
Me: "Now that was bit out of order wasn't it, I been in the party for 30 mins, now I understand that you want to be with your clan, but..."
Rude Guy: "STFU and get off our server you limey ****head, we don't need you, **** off back to European"
Other guy 1: "Stupid British"
Other guy 2: "Dude! We don't need people like you, we rock"
Other guy 3: "Ok I'll kick him"
*I'm kicked from TS server as well"
Now I know it was a guild party, but they were short on person and asked me to join them, this was bang out of order!
Tombs are fun since the battles are massive, but people are so out of order. At least in arena battles people are more polite.
Some of the things said in the tombs is shocking.

If I want to have fun and try various professions/builds or just try my lame monk with Guildmates I simply go to arena.
When I want more serious game or intensive training, I go to Tombs. I am taking Tombs seriously as well but its the kind of "polite seriousness". If we are defeated, we are just defeated and we aren´t rude to anyone, either the opponent was better and in that case we bow to him, or we did some mistakes and we try to eliminate them in the next game.
Personally, I don´t like groups who are just rude, blaming and kicking other players after they lost. However in Tombs I am not looking for groups, which want to be defeated, because I am competitive person So I think that being in the middle of these two extremes is reasonable. (It doesn´t mean that I don´t respect those who have fun with henchies. Having fun is the most important factor of the game, unfortunately a lot of people (see the other extreme) forget that.)
