So....how is the game people?

I'm going and buying it tomorrow....just want some input on what you all think of it so far?

You know most, if not all the answers are going to be very biased towards the game. But I really enjoy it, it is a very nice change from all the traditional MMO's. Try it out, it is a great game.

The people in this forum, for the most part, have played the game for almost a year now in the beta phase.

This is a fansite...everyone here loves the game!

Hopeing to get input from people who HAVN'T played it untill like yesterday though lol

Just played about 3 hours, already level 4 ranger/necro.

I've never played in any of the Beta events, this morning would be my first time.

So far, the game is smooth and real easy to get into. You won't be disappointed.

From the beta's I just wish the combat was more action oriented than click-n-kill but most people can't handle the truth.. er.. the thought of a 9 year old twitch kiddie l33t pwning them because his daddy has a T1 and an uber computer at the end point . *sigh* too bad GW makes the EQism fun and I had a good time playing due to game play (I have an nVidia so my first experience was GW with no land visible and everybody was goin' streakin' doodz! due to the nVidia "performance" not being compatible with GW at the time).

If you want a pretty game with simplified combat and timing based buffing, look no further.

I'm mainly wondering about the fun facter, cause i know it will be smooth and stuff but what is your thoughts on the fun facter of the game.

So far so good. I only got to play for about 15 min.Just came home to pick something up.The only that sucks is someone has my name!!.So I had to go with Ghost Phace! Other than that cool.

I rushed through the BWE but going slow is fun too.

Should have pre-ordered sooner lol. Anyways the game play is a lot of fun. The monsters leave the "you aren't going to win" challenge feeling. I guess it is akin to action based sword fighting but without the action. You need to attack with the right attack or counter to beat monsters. The longer you practice the more powerful you can play. I don't know about the release, but the color and number indicators used to indicate attacks was very helpful in determining what the enemy was buffing and what best to counter buff with. Oddly I believe with enough play you could predict the "energy" level of the target by what buffs the enemy is casting.

If you like challenging puzzle combat coupled with exploration, treasure hunting, questing, and stomping some Phd into the dust in PvP then you will like GW. Fundamentally fun. That and economical in the sense that you only need to pay when you run out of things to do on the current iteration - GW will have chapters for sale at a later date but NO MONTHLY FEE. Schweet.

Someone asked me this.... "so is it good?"

after knowing I've beta it before I just said.. well I already knew it was good..

so is there any actual difference?... I think there is definatly a difference.. the difference is only mental but is still different!

Simply knowing that I can now play it AS MUCH AS I WANT, without being kicked off for it being a BETA, makes the whole game seem much better some how
