Simple upgrade. Just put a medal on the cape of the leader, and another one on each officer. Like a brooch (sp) that holds the two sides together in the front.

Interesting idea.. that little clasp around your neck would just need a graphical change depending on your rank...

I like it!

It would be cool to see rank designation on a cape. I like.

I hope A.net isn't waisting their time with small aesthetic upgrades as such. I couldn't care less about this.

I wish we could get rid of these stupid capes altogether.

Considering the number of times I've heard people ask "Are you an officer of that guild?" it wouldn't really be such a bad thing.

I don't think this would waste much time either... should be easy enough to code in a couple new graphics that appear linked to the "Officer/Leader Y/N" flags. If the can give an Officer or Leader certain abilities immediately they can code in a small clasp graphic to go with it.

Really, it wouldn't be all that difficult. Just change the colors. Red - member, Yellow - officer, Green - leader or something like that. Any three colors would be fine.

Remember how long it took for them to give the celestial sigil an icon? I rest my case.

he

back in the days of well really long ago

the rich people RED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GO shields with emblems and the poor yust got wooden stuff so basically the more beatifull you looked the more important you where on the battlefield

leader should look somewhat more important officer lil less than leader more than members members well you get my point ?

This game is all about looks, might as well give something else to those compensating for what they lack in reality.

Objection: Irrelevant

Just because they didn't put THAT in right away doesn't mean they would be ABLE to do this.

You are talking about time and using to try to justify not wanting the change. We have no idea why it took them so long to give us a Celestial Sigil icon and it has no bearing on this case.

/signed nice lil addition

hehe how about another medal from PvP results like winning hoh or something.. just dont seem to get so much recognition apart from the fame which is no proof you've won hoh just that you pvp a lot maybe.

I'm not saying it's a terrible idea or I don't want it. I'm saying I'd rather see *real* things done to the game first. Since release, A.net's been a relatively slow working company when it comes to updates. I know they claim to be working 50/50 on updates/expansion, but knowing what a company really wants (anything in your pocket), I highly doubt that. It's most likely 20/80. In other words, sure this suggestion is an alright addition, I just find it to be way down there on the priorities list.

Shinsei, not every update HAS to be for PvP. But guess what, this is for both!

And do you have experience at a software development company? Speculating on another's work habits without knowledge of their practices makes you a practicer of fluffery and your credentials suffer. This includes if you actually have dev knowledge. Only if you have worked for ArenaNet can you say 'It's most likely 20/80.'

I like it! I would not mind a clasp or brooch on my cape, as long as the color wasn't hideous. I would really like a silver clasp...

Anyway, nice idea.

simple solution to a bigger problem than some will admit. communicating certain information is long and tedious, if we don't start requesting changes to small things it will take forever to get it done, as we are not asking for it.

great suggestion

With the current state of PvP, I beg to differ.

As I stated, it was a guess based on my experience of being here long enough to see the amount of work that was being done when the entire team was together, and after the split. That, and the fact that I highly doubt any company would invest half of their resources to produce something just to satisfy the customers, not to profit directly. Or, maybe the so called 50% of the team currently working on updates includes the dead weight, such as Gaile, the guy doing the wallpapers and maybe even the guy who did the lore. Either way, I do hope I am wrong, because this game is dying and it needs all the help it can get, now.

Gotta love how people attack you when you disagree with their idea
