Hi all I am new to the forum.
PvE play as it is now gets down to using the radar circle and paying attention to the patrol paths of monsters so you dont have to fight too many at one time. Even monsters that do not appear on radar (spiders, scarabs) always apear on the same spots and there is always a player in your group that has done this again and will warn of the danger.
What I would like is the addition of areas that have random encounters. Forget about the agro circle. You walk with your group and suddently an enemy group spawns in and you fight. No luring, no patrol watching, no knowledge of enemy class until the spawn.
I understand that it may be a bit too challenging for ppl starting the game, so dont put it everywhere but make it available for those who like the challenge.
Based on that idea it would be great to have human players in the shoes of monsters. I thought of it this way:
Your group enters the map (say group of 8) and another group of 8 players enters the map with the job to play the monsters. Each encounter is random. The players playing the monsters are given 1 min before the encounter their class and skills (e.g. charr, minotaur, dragon, ...). Your group has the slight advantage of the chosen skill set and the other group (monster players) can have more than one go at you (1 with each encounter). You may say that this is PvP and not PvE but I think of it as both on a level never done on a MMORPG before.
Who does NOT want to play Glint and burn ppls A$$es? Plz raise your hand

As far as making everything more challenging, your group should be given the option of raising enemy levels in the FoW and UW. I'd love to just constantly run into groups of level 30 monsters just for the sake of challenge.

Why would I even want to play as the monsters in this game anyway? 90% of the use 3-5 skills tops. That would be hugely unrewarding for me and since I'd probably get spanked in the end anyway, what would be the point of it?

Why would you play as a monster:
1. Monster only Skills (yes there are plenty of them)
2. Be a better player (unless you are the one that gets happy by beating your minor by taking $HIT skills for the fight). Monsters put up a good fight even though they have no target calling & 3-5 skills
3. Diversity. At the moment you can only be human
4. Loot. If you kill human players they drop (copies) of their stuff as monsters do. And as you know human players carry GOOD stuff.
But playing as a monster is not the main point of my post. Dynamic spawning is. Re-read my post
