Salvage Shields?

Can you Exp. Salvage upgrades from shields? I have been trying but all I get is Iron Ingots. I also cannot find any upgrades for sale. Plz help! Thanks

Thats couse shields come with upgrades on them but u cant put an upgrade on one

There are no upgrades for shields. You only get what they came with and are stuck there.

When I salvage them I get iron or steel.
