Pve: Ranger pet with monk enchantments on, will this work?

Sitting here brainstorming about a build involving a super strong ranger pet with monk enchanments. The idea is to deploy a pet that can take most tough mobs 1 on1. Let me know what you guys think of this build!

Ranger/Monk

Charm animal
Comfort animal
Call of haste
Call of protection
Vital Blessing
Life barrier (elite)
Essence Bond

Last skill havent decieded yet! Maybe something to boost dmg

Im wondering if this will be a strong build pve wise, any suggestions and thoughts to improve/critizie is more than welcome!

How are you planning on spreading your attribute points? That makes huge difference in determining the usefulness of a build. It appears that you only have Beast/protection skills listed.

All 3 of your monk enhancements spells have -1 energy regen. If you plan on using them all with a ranger primary, you will never regain energy. You are relying on essence bond to replenish your energy.


You have no ability to self heal. This could be a problem if you gain the agro, especially since your pet doesn't agro anymore unless you attack first.
