Ancient Weapon?!

Im exporing the desert right now and I just found an item called, Ancient Weapon , its a pick up like the res orb in tombs, can anyone tell me what it is? I dont want to drop it incase I lose it, im on the run from Enchanted atm!

EDIT: ok, i just dropped it and its still there, phew. Can anyone confirm any uses for this item, its very mysterious.

Anyway, no one seems to know what the weapon's purpose is atm.
It can be found in the "Arid Sea Area".
Probably for a later purpose.

Is the quest given at Anmoon Oasis for the ancient weapon? I remember a quest a long time ago for it on my monk, but can't recall where I got it.

I think it is a Monk quest. You get it from Yort in Hero's Audience if I remember correctly...and if I don't remember correctly then sorry for wasting your time...

No No, Skull you're thinking of the Family Sword Quest... The Family Sword is found in prophet's path... This sword is found in Arid Sea. It's completely different.

Broken or removed quest, no doubt. There's an NPC near the fallen statue in the lower east side of the Arid Sea that doesn't do anything, probably would have taken it to him.
