Changing secondary profession question

So I have read that you can change your secondary profession in the crystal desert, by doing a quest.

My question is, how do I obtain skills in that secondary profession - will I be able to go back and do/re-do the various quests to get them, or is the only way I will be able to get skills via spending skill points (which means I won't really be able to get much in my second profession for a long time).

You need to Ascend first.

Then you can pick up profession quests from various NPC's in the desert cities.

When you change professions you can either attain the skills (besides the basics that are provided) by buying them from trainers, or capturing them from bosses using the Signet of Capture.

And yes you can do the profession-specific quests in Ascalon, Sardelac, Serenity Temple, Yaks. There aren't too many, but you do get some good skills you would otherwise have to pay for.
