What are the best locations to train, and get great drops!? I'm unsuccessful at getting good drops..

By far the best drops can be found south of Maguuma Stade ... kinda difficult to find the access path, but hey, crystalline swords, gold items ... you name it ...

south of maguuma stade? isnt that area unexlorable? Im looking at a fully explored map right now and I see nothing there... Do you mean ring of fire chain?

How do you go to the south of Maguuma stade? It looks like its just unexplorable.

I think they mean riverside province...I may be wrong though.

i usually like to farm the sand drakes in the dessert, i usually start right outside of elonas reach. and clear the areas out around there. i usually get a gold and purple about every run.

I've done riverside many times, but I've never gotten anything really good out of there, just rare giant boots and such...oh well, I'll just stick to the desert unless someone knows what they mean by south of Maguuma.

Riverside was wonderful until the reset which made all runes except a handful worthless again :P

guys we have been tricked... there is no south of maguuma. #1- I explored the whole southern area of the explorable map outside of maguuma. #2- I talked to some people online and they said it doesnt exist.
Now to answer your question about drops, I would have to say crystal desert. The trolls outside of droks also drop some nice stuff for me. Plus theres two chests there that you can do chest farming on.

"south" of magumma stade really means south of refuge.... a wierd U shaped set of areas is there... i cant give any info on the drops.... i ran it

With all this talk about nerfing farming areas, I am wondering about this: What about farming the missions?
With my 4 characters and my many attempts to complete Thirsty River, I noticed that I always found lots of purple and gold items during these missions. So has anyone thought about that? I tried it yesterday, starting the Thirsty River mission with a group of henchies (also to see how far I could get here with only henchies - almost completed it!) and I found two purple items.

Is the desert really that good? I think the best drops are at FoW, so far for me anyway. Found a gold max dmg Shadow sheild there.

I have NEVER received anything good from the Mountain Trolls off Droknars, and I can solo them in MOBS.
I only get white and Blue items.

Well, its sooo random: I got 2 gold items (1 superior rune of vigor, 1 hammer) from 2 Gypsie Ettin in Nebo Terrace..
And didnt find anything good yet in the desert with my other character (lvl20)

I used to cruise through killin drakes in the desert. I don't get any drops there anymore. I guess I went to the well 1 too many times. To get good drops from going through the missions you'll need to solo. As the gentleman earlier said, running through Thirsty River with henchies... you won't get much of anything. That mission would be unbearable as a soloist...
