Can't create Character (April 27th) - Official Answer

Thanks for getting in touch with us regarding your question. Currently the Guild Wars server is not open for Retail customers yet.

Customers that have a Preorder access key code will be able to join in on the Early Access Event that begins at 12:01am PDT April 27th and ends at 11:59pm PDT on April 29th. After that time Preorder customers will need to enter their Retail access key in their account after the event to continue playing at this time.

Customers that do NOT have a Preorder access key and have a Retail copy of the game will be able to create there account but will be unable to create characters. At 12:01am PDT April 28th these customers will be able to log on and create characters as well as being able to log into the game and play.

Special note: Customers will be able to add multiple Preorder access keys to a single Guild Wars account after release of the game on April 28th. Please be sure to visit the Guild Wars Knowledge Base at http://support.guildwars.com for information on how to add multiple Preorder access keys to your Guild Wars Account.
