The Disease conditions spreads to nearby creatures of the same type and causes health degeneration of 4.

omgf! this takes so long to cast! i reccomend it for any me/n cause of fast casting or if u have a wep that increases the time it takes to cast death magic spells. only those ppl really SHOULD cast this, otherwise it takes forever to cast. thats just my opinion.

this spell is awesome for pve, and the cast time, tho long, is a good price to pay, in my opinion for the awesome health degen in a huge group of guys. use this and its slightly worse than phantasm, but for 22 sec as well as spreading it to other people. couple this spell with other health degen spells, such as phantasm or life siphon, and watch as the mob withers away

Tried this out recently with my Blood Necro, respeccing to Blood/Death to take advantage of a Morgriff's Scepter drop, and it quickly seized a permanent place on his skillbar. It is custom-made for most PvE mobs, as they tend to clump together; let the Necro creep up and cast it at the beginning, and whammo, 4-6 pretty green glows of decay. Likewise for PvE melee opponents, who often all attack the same target and become perfect recipients for contagion.
Flaws:
1) No flesh, no usefulness, but that can be said for a lot of Death spells.
2) Don't cast it on enemy Necros, or Plague Touch will deliver it right back to your teammates.

Hungry Devourer from Beacon's Perch.
In PvP - Only useful for Clumped up builds (ones that use the Monk's Heal Area, or a Trapper team using Helaing Sping tactic).
In PvE - Dont glue it to your bar. If you are fighting non-fleshy types where you are..drop it. and some other palces too - Like most of the Desert. The Jades love Plagueing it to your team.

Lately, I've noticed that Rotting Flesh does not seem to spread to anyone. It only seems to affect the one enemy I cast it on. At 15 points to cast and the long casting time, that's not much bang for your magical buck. Did they change this somehow or is it just me?

Wow, I get to see psots of mine from like almost a year ago
Of course now this is GLUED to Tainted necros bars.
Nigel - It might be that they aren't in range for it to spread, its Adjacent I think.
